Censorship and X.com still Sucks!
My previous post on this subject posted in another area seems to have been deleted by a moderator. Why?

Here is a copy of a letter I sent to X.com trying to close my account. Still no response from X.com. So I will be forwarding this and a complaint to my states attorney general office.

3rd NOTICE! Close my Account Immediately!

Reasons:
1) Poor Customer Service
2) Not able to get through or make contact with customer service via telephone fax or email.
3) Your web site is often down with technical problems.
4) Internet log in/ sign in problems at https://www.x.com/login.asp.
5) Limited hours for auction customers to join and make payment, poor customer service, lost auction sale due to internet site down.
6) Your company seems ill prepared for e-commerce and service is third rate.
7) To many others problems to name.
8) You do NOT provide alternate methods of contact such a fax?
9) At this point your comany just plain stinks, I would never continue to do business with a local comany that provided such horrible service, so what makes internet companies think they are so special, get real.
10) I have not been able to make any withdrawals using the Visa/ATM card you provided. Everytime I try it it says your system is down, no matter which ATM I try.

Please advise when action is taken!

Copy of previous posting:
I posted the other day about numerous problems I have had with the new internet banking company that we are being advertised to death here at Auction.com, called X.com, a Western Bank banking service.

I finally got in touch with X.com after days and over a total of 20 hours of total hold time, no kidding. They have never responded to email or faxes.

I instructed them to close my account immediately due to the extensive problems I have experience and poor service performance on their part. So far they have refused to close the account. I say BS. I did not go through that much hassle to open the accountand I have not even sent back the signature card yet. X.com is one of the worst internet companies I have ever dealt with.

I am so disappointed that a classy act such as Auction.com is allowing a sham, bad service company like X.com to taint Auction.com's respectable reputation.

P.S. Pleeeease moderators no bogus stories of how Super Great and Wonderful X.com is and how they are here to help us all. Get real. If anyone has had a great experience personally with X.com and you have nothing to personally to gain by saying so, please then post.

Hey alchemycht:

First I want to set the record STRAIGHT! AUCTIONS.COM is in no way associated with x.com nor do we advertise X.com nor do we in anyway endorse their service.

AUCTIONS.COM is not AUCTIONWATCH.COM.

I don't know your message will be WOMD'd here but I do know that even though we advertise here, we've never been "protected" by management from negative comments.

Regarding x.com: I understand the desire of sellers, in particular, to promote the X.com transaction opportunity. We all know they're paying a big sum for new members and hey, sellers do what is in their own personal best interest. Beyond that it gives sellers a slick new way to "externalize" the cost of a credit card transaction.

Buyers do need to be aware that anytime a credit card is used, someone will be charged a fee. X.com and its competitors designed their systems to be user-owned accounts. This means, of course, that deposits to your account on X.com are considered "cash advances" to your x.com checking account.

As such, the buyer or person authorizing the credit payment, is getting a cash advance, in the eyes of the credit card company. Check your aggreement and you'll note that there is a minimum fee ($2-$5) that will be charged in addition to the amount you request) plus something like 2 percent of the total amount "advanced."

What this means is that the buyer pays the credit card fee instead of the seller.

Folks don't pay much attention to that, though, because they're getting $10 or is it $20 bucks for signing up.

Finally, I do expect that considering that X.com is investing in incentives something like $20-30 per member, they have a great incentive to solve the issues you point out. If they don't people will leave and they'll have nothing to show for it.

Also, I don't blame auctionWATCH for promoting this thing. Hey, money is money and they want more and the referral program initiated by x.com has got to be benefitting them. (If they didn't do it, everyone on the boards would be including their personal links trying to get some of the referral money.)

Finally, I would hope you will realize that you have to look past the first seven letters -- A U C T I O N and understand that AUCTIONS.COM is not AUCTIONWATCH.COM.

alchemycht, it really isn't that subtle a difference, you know.

At Post: http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=2&thread=139214

Hey I find your postings absolutely hilarious, ROFL.

You Wrote:
"Money sucking X.com, stupid banners not allowed to mention competitive sites"

Actually all of my post suggesting alternatives to X.com were pulled by auction watch. They sent me an email saying it was against the terms and conditions
of community standards to suggest or advertise these sites.

Hmm, Damnit,
What the heck is all this advertising I keep getting from AuctionWatch about X.com. I would think it violates the very community standards they pulled my posting for, go
figure.

Hey they never sent any checks and it has been over a month. Received a visa card but everytime I try to use it the ATM says can not commnuicate with other bank. I still have $250 in the account.

To: bemused
Actually my reading comprehension is pretty good. I read the entire terms and conditions in the microscopic print they use full of legal jargon.

I have actually attempted to close the account in every manner possible. See my latest posting at: http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=2&thread=139214

From your posting I must question if are a PR front for X.com. Now really, getting through directly and having all your questions taken care of, hmm, if you say so?

Furthermore I have had 2 other online bank accounts ... (Auction watch prohibits that I name them) ..... but I was able to close my account via email phone and fax in less than 1/2 hour. They verified the same information used to open the account, hmm.

To: disenchanted
How in the world can they bend over backwards to help us if they won't even answer their phones or respond to email, hmm? I would and intend on taking my money out but can't even get a response from them. I did send them a legal notice recently via FEDEX, let's see if that gets their attention.
