Hi all: This was a surprise to me but I've been complaining for some time about how our site seems too complex. The timing of the change is such I was unaware but we are testing a more straightforward look. Do check it out and if you like the direction, click on the link at the top of the site and/or post your comments here. neomax

Hi again: Apparently, the simplified page is on a one in about 10 page-serve rotation meaning it may take 20 or 30 reloads to see it on the basis of "luck." It is, however, a for-real test and if there is a way to view it (a specific URL), I will pass that along. I may capture it as a printed pdf which others can download for a peek if they are interested. neomax

Cool Pat! I think you need to aim for BUYER Friendly just like this! Us sellers will figure our way in. A Seller is a diehard but a Buyer gives up easy and goes elsewhere.
Without the buyers we are dead in the water. So my vote is to do everything you can to make it easy for the Buyers to Bid! Three Cheers Fella!!

I for one like the new look, Pat. Folks on lower bandwidth like me don't enjoy a heavy download- hell, sometimes I wish AW didn't have some of the bloat it does.  I hope you stick to a k.i.s.s. layout! Mark

Pat,As a person whose vision is going, I am going to enjoy the new look much more. AU's present format is too hard on the eyes. Tell the designer I said "BLESS YOUR HEART!"

Hi folks: Thanks for the comments on the simplified view being tested. Let me say this is hardly engraved in stone. The look above is just being 'tested' on requests to one of our servers. We've not made a change or committed to a change although we are obviously thinking and listening.

I like the new look too, the current one makes it hard to figure out where to look for a particular item. This one gives you a hint or two and is easier to read.Cari

Simplified look is good!All this rotation is kinda frustrating, though. Why not just put up the new look at another URL, with a link from the current homepage? That way people can go back and forth, compare and contrast, and not have to deal with getting a random look everytime they go to the homepage. Hey, that's just another way to keep it simple!
Also, I think AU fools around with the font too much. Too much changing font face, colors, and sizes. And the face and color choices are rather dull - they don't catch one's eye or pop out of the change.
Looking forward to seeing more improvements on AU!

Chipmunk:Your suggestion about a way to make it possible to go to one homepage or the other is under consideration. I can say that your "hope" to see more improvements is being fulfilled as we speak. We are always improving. neomax

Neomax; I just registered with AU. Can you give an update on the new look? I have seen it a few times and prefer it very much to the old look. Has a decision been made to implement it, or not implement it? If no decision has been made any idea when it might be?

Kenlee: I think that it is still being tested. It really is a percentage thing to get it. I'll check into its status. I know one suggestion is to have it where it can be specifically addressed rather than served on a random manner. I'll let you know when I find out:-) Just haven't asked the question. neomax
