Hi all: I've been loath to promote bidbucks on a big scale until now. Why? Until now I couldn't redeem the bidbucks I had simply by visiting the site. Today, redemption is simple. Once you get a minimum $5.00 in bidbucks credited to your account, you just "redeem them" and they'll show up on your bidsafe credit card just like any other kind of credit to your card. This is so simple and straightforward you might ask why even post this notice. Two reasons. First, when Bidbucks were first explained to me it appeared that one would have to buy another item on AU and redeem those credits in conjunction with that purchase. That is apparently no longer true; although we'd certainly encourage you to do so. The second reason is that AU is, through April, in the process of rebating 10 percent of your auction buys in bidbucks provided you are a bidbuck bidder and the auction on which you bid is a Bidsafe auction. A bit more than 1 in 10 auctions on AU are qualifying bidsafe/first bid wins -- about 5000 auctions in total so there is some reasonable selection. All this means is if you find that widget you can't live without and win the top bid at auction -- say $100.00 -- and it is a bidsafe auction; you'll be eligible to get a $10.00 credit back on your credit card. Free money just doesn't happen every day and the promotion ends April 30. ------------------ Neomax [email protected]
