I have this question about Bid$afe: Even if a buyer doesn't choose the Bid$afe option when they place their bid, is there a way to go back after they win and pay by Bid$afe? Thanks!

Certainly. It will require that you list a new listing as a for-sale item and allow purchase by BidSafe only.
Reference the first auction in this new auction, possibly with a link to the auction but at least state:
This "For Sale" item is the BidSafe transaction for auction number ##### which ended (date) with [email protected] the high bidder. No one but [email protected] is allowed to purchase this transaction and if another person does, the item referenced will not be shipped and the seller will refund only the purchase price.
Put the final amount bid in the amount line. Of course select this as a For Sale item (or First Bid Wins).
Of course you can include the shipping amount and a small fee for the extra service in the shipping amount field.
At least that is how I do it.
Remember to put the item in an odd location. I'd recommend the category 6879 which is "business, business services, advertising, other" ... at least for the time being.
Once the listing is live, you inform the bidder/buyer of its location -- you could just have them search for their userID in the quick search to find it.
Because you selected BidSafe as the only form of payment, the bidder will be prompted to join bidsafe to complete the transaction.
