Hello:
We have 4 auctions on Ebay right now.
Ebay has changed the bottom section of their listings to reflect the fees for the various shipping methods offered. However, it states that insurance is included in the Domestic shipping and handling. We do not have a handling fee on our items like this. Why would Ebay state insurance is included? Does Ebay now calculate insurance with the shipping charges? If not, this could be very misleading to customers. We don't see how Ebay could calculate the shipping and insurance though without an end buyer because there are several shipping zones and the price for shipping to each is different so I don't believe they could calculate before the sale is completed without knowing which zone a buyer may live in. This seems more like a glitch...one that we hope is corrected soon. If the buyer does not pay for insurance we do not provide it. Please advise how this can be revised...which almost seems impossible since it is within Ebay's wording at the bottom of our listings. Thank you, in advance, for your prompt consideration in this matter.

Maybe we are missing something but this doesn't seem possible because on some items insurance is optional...and yet every listing says insurance is included in shipping and handling. Amazing.
I checked your listings and all 4 are setup to say that the insurance is required, not optional. Since it is required, eBay has added it to the cost of shipping automatically.
(this is how they are listing it now)

Thanks for the reply...but this still doesn't seem quite right? I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this pans out as always.
eBay IS displaying the shipping costs up front, if the buyer is logged into their account. If you *require* insurance, meaning there is no option to not pay it, they include it in the quote.
