Hello,

There is no system problem that I am aware of, at this time. In what way are your images not showing? Do you mean that you are not able to see them in your Vendio account? If so, are you sure that you have uploaded them successfully? Or are you not able to see them in your active listings? Please provide a specific example and/or let us know in more detail exactly what is happening.

Regards,
Nathan

Hi Nathan,

I get the empty box (when I right click, i can click on properties and see the file name etc). I know they were up-loaded properly because some of them have been there for a long time. Also i get no images when I look at the list on the image hosting page.

Hello,

What is the name of one of the missing images? Also, if this is on active listings, what is one of the listing numbers?

If this is for images that were uploaded some time ago (and not for new images), then it is likely that the images were auto-deleted for inactivity.

To activate default auto-renew on your Standard images, click the Image Hosting button, then the Preferences link in the left navigation bar. On the Image Hosting preferences page under Image Preferences, check the 'Auto-Renew On' radio button, then click the 'Save' button at the top of the page.

Note that this will not set current images to auto-renew - this will only affect new uploads. To set current images to auto-renew, select them singly or in bulk on the main Image Hosting page, then click the 'Renew' button, then the 'Auto-Renew' radio button, then 'OK'. You will see the status of the images change from an expiration date to Auto-Renew under the Expiration Date column.

Regards,
Nathan

Here's a link to one of my active auctions that has had a fair amount of hits (15 hits in the last 5 days):

None of the images show

Hello,

I took a look at these two listings and I was able to see the image "Znocheckoutsign.jpg" in the left-hand side of the listings, along with many other images. Are you not seeing any images in these listings, or only the three images in the center?

I did see a problem with three images in the center of each of the listings. These images were not attached through Vendio, but addresses for the images were placed directly into the description HTML code. One example has a location of: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Robert%20Hammerberg/My%20Documents/My%20Pictures/AtoZBooksPlus%20logo%20header.gif

Please note that in order for the images to appear they will need to be stored online, and the HTML code must point to a URL for the image. For example: http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/wizardofaz/Znocheckoutsign.jpg

Regards,
Nathan

I'm not having a problem viewing my gif files that i inserted in the auction description body (with the narrative). It's all the other images that I cant see ~ the ones on the left. These images are actual pictures taken (with a scanner) and uploaded to vendio. Then they are attached to the auction in the process i use at vendio Sales Manager to list the book at eBay. I not only don't see the pictures at the auction page, but I also cant see them on my Image Hosting page at Vendio. If you can see them, at least it's possible prospective buyers can see them too, but I'd feel more comfortable if I could see them. I always have been able to see all the images in all of my auctions until today.

Hello,

Have you recently upgraded your Internet Explorer, by any chance? If so, please reboot your computer. Please also confirm that you have tried emptying your browser cache.

If you are still having trouble with this, please try temporarily disabling any pop-up blockers, and let us know if this helps. Please also let us know what browser and version you are using.

Regards,
Nathan

Hello,

It sounds like something on your end is blocking the images from showing up.

If you can't see *any* pictures in your image hosting pages, chances are there is a block that needs to be removed.

Try right-clicking where the images are supposed to be displaying and see if you have some option to unblock them.

Note that while you can see the images down the center, nobody else other than you will ever be able to see them unfortunately. (until they are uploaded to a website and the HTML/URL points to them there rather than your own local hard drive.)

Christopher

Thanks Nathan and Christopher,
I rebotted and that took care of the viewing problem I had. I am working on fixing the other problem (the images I inserted in the narrative ~ I'm going to have them "point" to Vendio after I optimize the animations and upload the files to Vendio
Thanks again. Bob, wizardofaz (at Vendio)
