try to run program, finishes and nothing happens, no shortcut, wizard doesnt start up, and cant find anything...why
thought i could try this program to automatically resize photos.
my file sizes are under 500 kb, but picture size (ex: 1700 x 1300) are too large for my liking.
will this program fix this problem. Instead of having to individually try and resize every pic and re-uploading... this will take forever!
If you downloaded the XPress Image Publisher and clicked to install, you probably did successfully install it. This feature is only a line of text that goes in the registry so there's no installation process like with an actual application.
Try this - go to your image folder. If you don't see a sidebar with the File and Folder tasks menu click Tools -> Folder Options, and under the "General" tab, check "Show common tasks in folders", then Apply and OK. Once the sidebar is added, you should see the "Publish this folder to the Web" option. Click this, and on the third page (Where do you want to publish these files) you should see the Vendio Image Hosting icon. If you don't please let us know.
1 of them is dennis 49.jpg (385 kb / 1135 x 1703 pixels originally before being uploaded) .
When I publish, I choose to resize "large".
And when done, it says that photos were successfully uploaded to Vendio site, but yet I cant find them.
Again, the problem is when I click 'supersize', the picture is too big. Instead, I would like the picture come up the size of the screen approximately.
I do realize I could resize the pics before uploading, but that would take long....
I was able to locate this image in your account. It is in your "SURGERY DENNIS" folder. Did the original image name have a space between the "dennis" and "49.jpg" by any chance? If so, this might explain the problem. It is not possible to have a space in an image file name in your Vendio account, so that space would have been removed at the time that you uploaded the image. Then if you do a search for "dennis 49.jpg" the image will not pull up. You will need to search for "dennis49.jpg".

hi again nathan,
think i solved part of the problem by "pub. to web" directly from by cds.
A question I have is with pic quality. I noticed it does downsize the dimension of the image (pixels) but also downsizes the Kbs (sometime alot)...does this effect image quality with the kbs being reduced as well?

Image quality does go down when the file size is reduced. (Very generally speaking, the larger the file size the better the image quality.) However, in many cases the change in image quality isn't very visible. You might want to pull up both versions of the file and compare them side-by-side to see how much the image quality has changed.
