Hi,

I've used Vendio for quite a few years, but this is the first time I'm using Paypal for selling.

I'm setting up an auction with calculated shipping on SMP and I want to use Vendio Checkout. What settings do I use so the shipping cost will show up on Vendio's checkout?

I also want to make sure the shipping cost will show up on Ebay's Checkout, in case the buyer uses it instead. And will the shipping cost automatically show up on Paypal?

.........

In the past, when I used "calculated shipping" and "specified shipping costs for ebay", the shipping cost never showed up on Vendio's closed auction Purchase Summary. The shipping only said "TBD" or "Not Chosen".

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. If you look at my Control Panel, there's still one closed auction and it doesn't state a shipping cost. When I listed it on SMP, I used calculated shipping and I also specified the shipping cost for ebay.

Many thanks,

Lynn

Hello Lynn,

The closed listing that you referenced is not showing the shipping cost because the buyer never entered their shipping address. In order for the calculated shipping cost to show in Vendio checkout, the buyer will first need to enter their shipping address (so that shipping to that location can be calculated). Otherwise, this listing was setup correctly to give the buyer the shipping cost in Vendio checkout.

Regards,
Nathan

Hi Nathan,

Thanks, I didn't know!

When the cost wasn't posted, I'd rush an email to each buyer with the shipping cost. Thus... the forms were never filled out!

One other question:

I'm only using the USPS since FedEx doesn't offer calculated shipping.

After an auction ends (and if Fed Ex has a better rate).... can I change the shipping cost on Vendio, Ebay and Paypal myself? If so... how do I do it?

Again, many thanks,
Lynn

Hello Lynn,

You can do this for Vendio checkout by going to Post Sale in Vendio and clicking on the post-sale keys for the order. Then click the "Edit Checkout & WBN" button in step 1 (making sure that step 2 is unchecked). Then edit the "Shipping Carriers" section. If you already know the FedEx rate, simply remove the other shipping options and add in the fixed price FedEx rate. This will automatically change it at PayPal if the buyer is paying through Vendio checkout.

Regards,
Nathan
