I'll ask here, in that my email and previous post on the ebay board have been unanswered.

I am impatiently ready to open the new store. I have one question. Are my current fees grandfathered into the new Vendio platform?

Now, I have read all that is available, and I understand most of what is posted. I hesitate to create a new user name and create a new account, because I do not know if I will lose any benefits of being a "grandfather" of the current site.

Further, my domain name now points to my current Vendio store. To change the domain to the Beta store would not be productive, in that my current store items are not migrated to the new platform.

Perhaps there could be a method devised for those of us who have been loyal customers to access the new platform, play with the whistles, and set up our stores. That way, when migration tools are ready, we can keep our current user names, fill our new stores, redirect our domains, and our stores will be ready for business..

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your interest in the Vendio Platform and new stores. We are very excited about this release, and now that the 'beta' is out, our next priority is to develop migration tools that will help existing customers transfer their existing account information over to the new Platform as soon as possible.

Existing customers will be grandfathered, but to the best of my knowledge it will not be possible to "merge" two accounts. So if you do open a Vendio Platform account now, we will probably not be able to transfer your existing account information into it. We will, however, be able to switch your existing account into a Platform account when the time comes (which means you can keep your account name. )

We would really recommend that our existing customers hold off on signing up for Vendio Platform ahead of the migration, as this would require essentially starting over from scratch.

I hope this helps, and thanks again for your interest!

Thank you. Your reply contained the exact information I was seeking. I guess I'll wait until the migration is ready.

As I mentioned, I would like to see just what is available for store fronts. Can you suggest how I can kick the wheels of the store?

I don't want a tour. I need to see just what is available. The puffery which is available is not the least bit enlightening, nor is it sufficient.

I agree with Bill.

We have been on hold for a long time with the promises of a new system.

I would like to know what this new platform is and be able to see if this is a fit for my needs.
I need to either do something here or move on I don't want to wait months to find out this is not what I need for MY business.

We have waited all this time and now to be told we don't have the set-up to allow the current customers use it is,to be frank, an insult.

We have been here for years and we now have to wait till a system is devised to allow us to join in.

And all the time till then we really don't know if the new platform is what WE need.

Hello,

Bill - a suggestion on how to see the new site - sign up for a new account and take a look.
If you have any trouble registering a new ID please let us know.

For Roger or anyone really that doesn't want to wait and start using the system after it is out of it's Beta testing status and doesn't mind using a fresh/blank account to do it, your more than welcome to sign up for a new account under the free trial and simply cancel at some point down the road before your trial expires - if you wanted to just kick the tires a little before the final version and migration tools are in place.

There are no rules against it, and you do not have to store your primary eBay ID into your new account just to see how the interface works and what some of the new tools and features look like.

Regards,
Chris
