Hi Guys, thought I would have learned by now how to upload images to Vendio. But, just got a new Apple Macbook and I am lost. I have the images up on the iphoto screen. I have cropped them, tweaked them and now haven't the foggiest idea how to get them to Vendio. With my Dell and Windows XP I would do as above and name and save through my Kodak Software Website. Then go to Vendio and uoload them through the upload images site and then put them into ebay auctions. At this point I haven't been able to figure out where to go next. Called Apple and got a real dummy. The first one in several calls that wasn't able to help me on other subjects.
This guy said call Vendio. So, here I am. Need your help and advice please. What do I do next?. Thanks, Steve

Hello Steve,

The process really should be the same at it's core, in that you will click to locate an image from your computer that you want to upload to your Vendio account and the OS your using will ask you where the image is currently located so you can select it.

Go to the image hosting page and click to upload images. On the image upload page click one of the browse buttons, which should prompt your Mac OSX to ask you where the images are (your 'pictures' folder or wherever it is on your local hard drive that your images are currently being saved to.)

Try to find out the exact location of your images before you start so you know how to browse to that location when you get into the middle of the image upload process.

Regards,
Chris

Hello,

The file your referring to isn't a regular image file, rather a webpage file that was saved using the Safari browser.
Im not sure how you created the files, but if you downloaded these images from Safari you may need to convert them into regular image files before you can use them with eBay.

That extension that your files are referencing, webarchive, unfortunately isn't a standard image format that you'll be able to use.

Chris

Hi Chris, I wasn't even in Safari unless that is the name for everything on the Apple laptop. I was in IPHOTO. It never gave me a place to name and save like Windows does. That is probably the problem. Do you guys havean Apple there that you could look at IPHOTO and try to figure out what to do with an image to get it properly loaded to Vendio. This whole thing cam about because something happened with my Picture transferring from my Camera to the Dell. I use a card reader and it just won't open up. I used it last week with no problem but today it just won't work. It is not the cable or the image card because if either of them were bad I wouldn't have been able to load the images onto the Macbook. So it has to b either one of three things. The Windows Software, the Kodak Easyshare Software or the Card reader itself. Normally I put the image card into the reader and click on transfer and it gives me a device to transfer from. Then it shows up in the Kodak Software where I make it look really good and then name and save and go to Vendio. But on the Dell I can't even get it to transfer to the device. It won't open up and the Kodak Icon on the toolbar disappears when I click on it again. All very very strange. If you possibly walk me through step by step on the Macbook to Vendio I would greatly appreciate it. Please do not get to technical, because ven aftyer all these years I am still just basically not a computer expert by any means. 95% of my computer work is ebay and emails. Thank you, Steve

Chris, when I click on the photos I get the following info--
img_7309.jpg and img_7310.jpg. When I put those into brpwse in upload images I still get a fail signal. By your posts that should have worked. Steve

Hello Steve,

If your sure the images are in the correct format, can you email me a couple of them to test for you just to be sure?

Hi Chris, this is the photo called img_7310.jpg. That is the only name that Macbook gave it. I called it Blue pitcher in your browse at first and it failed. Then I tried the img_7310.jpg and that also failed. I will check back with you tomorrow as it is getting late here. Thanks, Steve

I copied the photo and instead of the photo showing up, the info above did.

By the way I was able to find a workaround for loading onto the Dell. Since I couldn't get the transfer section to load it I played around and came up with the following solution and voila, it worked. Perhaps this can help someone else with the same problem.
1)load card into card reader
2)click add pictures on the Kodak Easyshare Software page
3)click whichever removable disc you have setup for transferring pictures. I have mine set at K
4)click Add Entire Folder
5)click ok
6)click done
7)proceed as normal with editing your pictures
It's a few more steps but if it works I am not complaining. I am just curious though why the old way doesn't work anymore. Any thoughts? Steve

OK Chris, got it figured out. I would like to say I was smart enough to figure it out on my own but the Apple guy that I have been in contact with a few times just called and as usual told me how to do it. I would like to pass this on to you so it might be able to help someone else with the same problem. Steve

1)load the images from your camera into Iphotos
2)after adjusting crop and enhance etc. and all other possibilities drag them to the desktop
3)click on the bar under the photo once
4)wait about 2 seconds and click on it again
5)Rename your photo-make sure to leave the .jpg
6)go to Vendio upload images
7)click choose file
8)box pops up-click on Desktop
9)click on the image name
10)image will appear in the choose file bar
11)after uploading all your pictures go back to desktop and drag the original photos to the trash.
A lot more work than Windows but it works and that is what counts
