I see the announcement about not being able to connect to eBay through the sales manager. Not sure why you don't have a thread started.....I've tried thru the internet Explorer and thru AOL and I cannot connect. Please FIX this ASAP!!!!! I have no trouble connecting to eBay directly, and I have no trouble connecting to other internet sites directly. That leads me to believe there is some defect in the Vendio system.

we have the same problem on 2 computers , one show this :This webpage has a redirect loop.
The webpage at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?NextGenViewItemOptin&nextgenviewitemoptin=&sellerpreview=true&item=310139894161&mfcisapicommand=ViewItem has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

I am having the same problem - day 2. Cannot connect to eBay through Vendio. The message I get from Firefox:
Redirect Loop
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
The browser has stopped trying to retrieve the requested item. The site is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete.
* Have you disabled or blocked cookies required by this site?
* NOTE: If accepting the site's cookies does not resolve the problem, it is likely a server configuration issue and not your computer.

Hello,
Thank you for the additional information. I have passed it along to our engineers. We have also made a change to your accounts (toyspast, worldcovers1, and missaltoe). Please clear your browser cache, try again, and let us know whether or not you get the same results.
Regards,
Nathan

I did as you asked and it worked for 2 or 3 times, then went back to not able to connect.

Hello,
Were looking into solutions right now that we can use, but it looks like the issue is only coming up when you are logged into your eBay account at the time.
If you go to eBay and log out, then click on the links, they work great. (strange issue.)
As soon as we have an update available we will post back with those details.
Regards,
Chris

I logged out of eBay and tried again, and still no connect. That's not it.

Hello,
That's been it in all of the cases weve seen so far, but we'll make note that it didn't work for you in case there are other factors.
It's possible also that a simple refresh or clearing of the temp files would change that behavior to match what others are seeing.
Regards,
Chris

This happened on the eBay site the day this week (was it Tuesday?) they changed the item page that the sellers see to the new version. Eventually eBay fixed it but maybe your old links aren't working?
Link to my item from My EBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&item=160257595567
Link to my item from Vendio PostSale (at least what is shown in the redirect loop address bar:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?NextGenViewItemOptin&nextgenviewitemoptin=&sellerpreview=true&mfcisapicommand=ViewItem&item=160257595567
I moused over the link on Vendio and this is where it SHOULD go before eBay redirects it:

Hello,
That is correct, this is in part related to the new item page that you see when your logged into your account at the time.
We are working on some possible resolutions currently and will report back when any new information is available.

Chris

It used to work just fine when logged into eBay, what new code went in that might prevent us from getting to our eBay items through sales manager? We should not have to log off eBay to see something only to have to log back in to see buyers info??? Please check again to see what is different in the coding today. Thank you. You are always pretty fast at fixing things. Thanks, Pat

Hi Pat,
Sorry for any confusion, this isn't how it will always be - you just need to be logged off of eBay at this particular time for the links to work while we correct the issue.
As for what changed, eBay is changing the way the items pages look when your logged in and this somehow messed up the links we were using (though only for when your logged in.)
We hope to correct this as soon as possible.
Regards,
Chris

DAY THREE and still not able to connect to eBay. Will you be offering refunds off your service soon? I rely HEAVILY on connecting to eBay off of Vendio and cannot believe it is taking this long to figure this out. I hope this is a priority for you and not just some minor inconvenience. It is a MAJOR inconvenience for me.

I was able to use the link a couple of times today - but then it quit working and I had to sign out of ebay for it to work consistently.

Even though logging out of eBay doesn't help me connect, it is pointless anyway, as the reason why I use the link is to check the buyer's feedback and contact them, both things need you to be logged into your account. Is there an ETA you can give? This is getting pretty ridiculous.

I don't have any specific updates at this point, but it looks like this will probably be resolved sometime early next week. As soon as more information is available we will post it here.

This is long past-needing correcting.
Cannot look at closed items!
PLUS
Have to go to active and click on them to get many to show closed.
I know as it has been posted "how easy" it is to do this but WHY do WE have to do anything?
Something is wrong.
Thanks for letting me vent ....I still luv ya

Hello,
We changed the URL's so they work both for users logged in or logged out of their eBay accounts. Please let us know if you run into any other errors with this change.
Note that we have also seen some Javascript errors with the eBay links that may cause some issues, as well as a number of posts on the eBay boards about other links they use causing these same bad redirect loops - so keep an eye out for any changes in the behavior as they likely continue to address those glitches. (though we feel the changes we have made should bypass most of their issues at this time.)
Regards,
Chris
