How do I set item description in my listings? Listings created in Vendio are not able to be relisted using eBay's relisting tools until I add item condition. I list in the collectibles category.

Hello,

Are you just looking for the attribute, where you set the new/used/etc condition for the item?

It should be on the create items form, just below where you apply your template.

Chris

All I can see on the form is the Custom Item Specifics which is not what eBay uses for Item Condition. In my category, Ebay's item condition drop-down gives me NEW or USED

Hello,

I see what you mean in your postcard category and put in a request to the engineers to update and match the available attributes on eBay.
We hope to have that setup and available as soon as possible.

Regards,
Chris

Thanks, Chris! Edited to add, this omission could cause my eBay store to shut down. I can't see paying for non-compliant listings from Vendio. Please put your engineers on the product that pays the bills ASAP!

Hello,

To clarify any confusion for others who might read this, note that this field is not currently required and will not result in any listings or stores being shut down because of not setting this at this time. It is simply an available option on the eBay listing form currently and we are in the process of building support for it in this and other categories.

Regards,
Chris

It is on the horizon of being required. For those of us who create listings with Vendio and relist through eBay (because of Vendio's inabilíty to bulk edit or bulk change auctions to fixed price format), this creates a major headache when it is required by eBay, as it did with handling time, return policy, etc. when Vendio dragged its feet until the last possible moment, requiring me hours of updating live listings through Turbolister. If Vendio can't feasibly support eBay changes with SMME in a timely manner, I understand. Please allow me to bulk download my images and we'll part friends.

Hello,

The new Item Condition values will be available on all versions of the software we support at the same time. We don't update to meet eBay changes one platform at a time - I hope that helps clarify any misconceptions.

This is something we are working on right now and do hope to be able to offer it shortly. As soon as any new information is available we'll update the most recent thread on the subject.

Regards,
Chris

The folks using SMPro desktop may disagree with you. Edited to add: I understand that Vendio needs to forward their software, based on current market trends. The decision to focus resources on providing a multichannel platform is understandable. However, the market has changed. You didn't convert the existing user base to the new platform, nor do you have the base of new customers to fund the updating of 2 platforms requiring massive eBay changes. We are an albatross, please let us exit, in tact.

Hello,

Previously you had asked for a way to bulk download your images, which you have referenced again in your most recent post. There is still a way to do this if needed and ill send you the directions. Before you mentioned that you wanted this if we would be unable to update to meet this upcoming eBay change, and while we will have full support for this before it's requirement - we understand however that you have your own process to list and more specifically relist your items that this may not help with and are happy to work with you to find a resolution that works for you right now.

Regards,
Chris
