We have been with Vendio for EVER. We bought a new computer with Windows 7 x64 premium and we have had nothing but PROBLEMS with running SMP. It crashes almost every time we do an auction. Is there any way that someone can help us, give us a call or I will be more than happy to bring my laptop to you on my way to SF so you can see what is happening.

Hello,
The problem is that Sales Manager Pro wasn't designed to work on a system past XP really, and while Vista and 7 both should be able to run XP programs - you can run into random crashing issues.
Some combination of settings could limit the amount of issues it has, but a Windows Update could come along that changes the behavior (as it has worked great at times since 7 came out, but certain updates have made it less stable since it's release.)
I state that because the only sure fire way to run Sales Manager Pro in Windows 7 without having to deal with any kind of issues ever - is by running it in 'XP Mode.'
You must have Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate to run Windows XP Mode. It is not available in the basic Windows 7 Home Premium package unfortunately.
Ideally we would like users that have been using the offline Pro software to migrate to the fully featured Sales Manager on the website instead, but if you prefer to run the offline version of the program the XP Mode option is really the best option.

Hello,
That is correct. It will look different to you, but the functions are essentially the same. You may access the online version of Sales Manager by logging in to your Vendio account and clicking the "Sales Manager" link to the left. Then click the "eBay" icon below "Create Listing" to begin the process of creating a listing.

I too have complained about this over and over -- about SMP crashing almost every time I put up an ad. I have been with Vendio for the past decade and had no problems until I bought a new Windows 7 65-bit computer.
Now you are saying the Vendio would prefer everyone to use the "online" version, and my question is WHY?? The previous interface is terrific. It is one of the main reasons I have stuck with Vendio.
Why can't you make it work with Windows 7? And why do you say you would prefer everyone to use that complicated and way-less-friendly "online" version.

Hello Marshall,
One of the reasons we suggest switching to the online Sales Manager is because the Pro program is no longer being developed and may eventually be phased out completely. The original idea was to provide a way for users to work without being connected to the internet since high speed connections were that common in 99'2000 - but over time most users now have connections fast enough to use the fully featured online Sales Manager instead.
If your having trouble with a specific aspect of the online Sales Manager please let us know what it is. The only know process that would be faster offline than online would usually be the CSV import process, but you can do that now using the inventory edition of the online Sales Manager as well.
