I have been having many instances of items that are sold that remain in active status. I have to manually move the items over. And when I have to re-fresh, most of the time, it takes 7 or more times to get it move over. This is very disconcerting. It's okay when the buyer pays right away, because then I KNOW to look for it. But when a buyer buys an item that does not move over, 90% of the time, I am unaware of the sale. Can you do something about this? Thanks for your time.

Hello,

I have asked our engineers to take a look, and we will let you know as soon as we hear back from them. In regards to the manual refresh, please note that it can take up to 15 minutes for the listing to update after using the manual refresh. Please give it 15 minutes before trying again (multiple refreshes, before the first refresh has had a chance to complete, can delay the refresh).

Regards,
Nathan

Thanks, Nathan, for your reply. I will await further word. As far as the refresh goes, I cannot wait 15 minutes for something that may or may not happen. It does re-fresh if I keep doing it which is a lot quicker than 15 minutes.

I just wanted to add that this is happening much more frequently now. Half the things sold yesterday had to be manually sent to sold.

Hello,

All items will move to the closed section automatically once they close at eBay. If they are ended early at eBay it will take much longer than normal, but for items that close naturally there should only be a short delay from the time they close to when they drop by themselves. If your on the page working you would need to refresh the page to see them, and as you mentioned you can force them to drop faster by selecting them and using the built in refresh button. What you do between clicking the manual refresh button the first time to when they drop is up to you, but doing it additional times doesn't do anything - your just killing time until it gets the current stats and then can drop them into the closed area.

Chris

No, this is not normal. I have been with you guys for years and when I come on this board to report a problem, it is a problem. Items that close as a fixed price item should move to the sold panel within 5 minutues. I had to manually close one today that closed THREE DAYS AGO!!!! If the buyer does not automatically pay and something closes during the high point of the day, I will probably not be aware of the sale. Thus I do not follow up with the sale and sometimes I have never gotten paid and its only months and months later that I might notice an item in stock that is not showing for sale on eBay and then researching might find that it actually sold and just was never followed up on. I cannot continue to have a mangement company that is not managing my accounts. Please assure me that SOMETHING will be done about this problem.

If you had a way to manually refresh ALL ITEMS at once, it would help. As it is now, I have to re-fresh each page of 50 items one at a time and when you have 36+ pages that is very time-consuming and I cannot do it very often.

Hello,

Sorry for the confusion, I didn't know the delay your reporting was up to 3 days in time. 5-10 minutes is one thing, but 3 days is definitely a problem.

The easiest way to tell if the list is accurate is to compare the number of active items here Vs at eBay. Right now they are both exactly the same, so nothing is currently 'stuck' in the active list.

The quickest way to bulk refresh item status is by setting your Detailed items per page view to 100, which you can do from here. This will cut this process down to 15 pages for your items.

Regards,
Chris

Just FYI - I am well aware of matching whats on eBay with Vendio. And the reason why they match right now is because I went in a couple of hours ago and manually re-freshed each and every page to get them to match. I had 3 that had not moved (one of them being the one from 3 days ago). One was from 2 days ago. And one was from earlier in the morning. When you want me to send item numbers of those that are not moving, do I have to leave them in the active panel or can I move them and give you the item number? If I have to leave them, I hope you respond QUICKLY as I may need it in my sold column.

Hello,

I know you have been using the tools long enough to probably know all of the tricks of the trade already, but just in case you don't or if another user does run into something similar down the road - we'll try to mention them whenever possible.

You don't have to leave effected items in the active list.

After some further investigating, it does look to be an issue eBay is aware of with their notification system and are working on correcting it.

We will of course continue to monitor the situation in case the behavior changes or any action is required on our part to help them correct the issue.

Currently the manual refresh method your using is the only available workaround, as it forces the system to get an update on the items status and doesn't rely on the eBay notifications.

Chris

Thank you. The eBay notification is saying only "up to a 4 hour delay" which still does not account for the delay with the Vendio system. It's like Vendio "forgets" to check back since the delay may be longer then normal. Hopefully, my non-tech verbage might be able to help fix this situation.

Hello,

We'll certainly keep an eye out for any issues that remain once they correct their notification system.

There is no 'check back' that happens, we are simply waiting for the notification to let us know that the item has sold so it can be moved to the closed area (for Fixed Price listings.)
If the notice never get's sent, the item gets stuck in the active list until it's originally scheduled end date. Of, if the notification IS sent but late, it doesn't move until that notification does arrive. Historically when they have issues with that setup it both delays the sending and loses many of them completely, hence seeing items stuck for multiple days at times.

Chris

Here are three item numbers that I had to move this morning manually: 310298785097 (Lennon Quilt), 380324992602 (popple) and 310305443865 (Rubiks Clock). I have 2 that just sold between 1pm-1:30 that I'm waiting to see if those move and will forward those in the near future.

Hello,

You don't have to send any more samples for now. If anything comes up where we do need samples for newly effected items we'll post back to this thread.

I have had 5+ items sell today and not one of them has moved over on its own. I have 3+ additional item numbers I'm leaving in active for now if you want to take a look. #380319465541 (Alice Vhs), 310303577673 (Star Trek game), and 380318929625 (beaver). This is kind of getting ridiculous. I have received notifications from eBay of all the sales. I don't know if that's different from the notification Vendio gets. I would appreciate if this issue could be escalated.

Hello,

Sorry again for any confusion on my part. The issue has been escalated. The engineering team is aware of the cause of this issue and we are looking forward to it being corrected as quickly as possible.

You can disregard my previous requests for samples of effected items, the cause for these issues has already been identified and no further cases are needed for inspection.

Thank you for your patience while we work with the issue, and for bringing the issue to our attention.

Regards,
Chris
