This item (in pending) will not list :

$275 New ELIZABETH AND JAMES Plaid Capri Crop Pants 0

I keep getting this error :

Error 21916519: Listing is missing required item specific(s): "Bottoms Size (Women's)".
Listing is missing required item specific(s): "Bottoms Size (Women's)". Please provide the required item specifics.

I have checked five times and I do have the Bottoms Size (Women's) item specific added and state 0 for the size (which is the first option of sizes you get in the drop down list).

Please confirm why this will not list. Thank you.

Hello,

eBay simply isn't recognizing the size 0 when we send it to them for this category currently. They do accept this size label on their own listing form, and they also appear to accept any other size label when submitting through their API (I checked 0p, 1, and 00 and all would go through.)

We'll file this as a functionality bug on our side first and make sure there isn't something that is causing this on our end, and bring it to eBay's attention if it does end up being just a glitch in their API.

For now you will need to select *any* other size, then edit it to change it to 0 once it's live.
Regards,
Chris

I also had an error listing a plush purse last night. I don't have the error to show you because I got fed up and changed the catagory. Error kept coming back with Brand and Style were not filled in when I filled in EVERY box! I did have to use "other" on a couple of the specifics, but that should be okay because it is an offered alternative. Please correct this situation with eBay.

Hello,

For the type of error your referring to, it sounds like you may have only completed the 'old' Item Specifics and left those two fields blank in the Custom Item Specifics.
If however you were getting that error even when specifying the Brand and Style using the Custom Item Specifics fields, there may be an issue with either the category or a specific value for one of the specifics. Even if the error isn't there now, if you have since edited the item to appear the way you wanted via eBay we can check into it further for you, just let me know the item number of that now active listing.

Chris

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are waiting to hear back on the cause for the original category reported with this issue and will add this category to the report.

For now the workaround will be the same as before, in that you would need to use a different value for the size and edit it to your needed value after it posts to eBay.

When more information is available we will update this thread.

Chris

What the heck is with these new clothing item specifics? There are no "other" choices in the ones that I've been using. For example, I was listing a t-shirt and the Brand was not listed and there was no space for "other", so I had to choose "handmade" and then EXPLAIN in my auction details. You'd think that eBay would know there's more than 10 manufactors out there or are we required to sell only the brands listed? Pretty damn ridiculous.....

eBay now has a separate main category for t-shirts (had that problem myself), so they are no longer in tops.

Extra rules and changes for nothing. As a buyer I never search through categories, ever.

----

I have 7 items that are a size zero that are errored.

Please give us an update when you find a fix.

Also it would be nice if Vendio updated its listing page for categories, so it looks like eBay's.

Vendio has two separate areas for categories, that often overlap, some of the old categories do not work and create errors, and there is no * (like eBay has) to show the categories that are required to be filled in.

That would help alot.

I need to literally fix thousands of items and am waiting for Vendio to fix this problem before I can do this much needed work.

Thank you.

I list using templates that sit in pending, and copy one when I write up a new item.

I need categories (eBay required) things like brand, size, style, that are required to be used.

I have different brands, sizes, and style each time, so need those cateogries up / selected without filling them prefilled in.

Currently I get a pop up that will not allow me to slect these and save them in my existing templates.

I did not have this problem before, when there was only one category area. If you are changing categories to how they used to work / one area, please allow it to have these fields open without them filled.

Thank you.

I also have an item which will not launch but it does not involve sizes or specifics.
It is in the mineral category. Originally scheduled to launch
last week, then last night, then I just tried to launch it again now. Keeps showing an error message that "/01/2011 10:08:00 AM US-Pacific Time Zone

Error 17: Item not found in eBay's database.
Item is invalid or no longer present in eBay's database."

This is not a relist. Why will it not launch?

Thanks,
Susan

Hello,

Toyspast - eBay is having some issues with giving all of the available brands in a number of categories (with a lot of them stopping after the letter A.)

If you don't pick one from the drop down menu in the Custom Item Specifics, you can still type into that field with whatever you want. You don't have to pick 'other' like the old item specifics before you could choose your own. Now you just type right into the field labeled brand and you can define your own value.

aaronandelise - We will pass along the suggestion on your behalf to pre-enable those required CIS fields so you can have them displaying but without any defined values.

Chris

Hello Susan,

Your right, your issue is completely different from those mentioned above. eBay IS seeing the item as a relist of a previous item that is no longer in their database. It's possible that you clicked to relist a different item and made changes to it to create this one.

If the issue persists click to edit the item, then use the copy link in the upper right corner of the edit page to make a duplicate of it. Once your switched into the duplicate/copy version of the item, schedule or launch it, then you can delete the original.
Regards,
Chris

aaronandelise - We have released the needed changes to enable 'zero' (0) as a valid entry in size attributes. If you have any items pending still please resubmit/schedule these items and let us know if you encounter any further issues.

Regards,
Chris
