I just sent a customer a shipping confirmation email for the item purchased July 2. I recieved a reply telling me that he had paid already!
For some reason he received a Payment reminder when I hit send now on the Shipping confirmation. There is no indication on my end that i hit payment reminder. (In fact, I probably haven't used this feature in years.) And my page says i did send a shipping confirmation.
Can you check into this, please.
TY

You said to let you know if it happened again and apparently it did. Just heard from a customer about getting a payment reminder or a winning bidder reminder on an order from this morning. Not sure which notice, as both have the older email in them that he replied to. There are two separate orders for him and I don't know which one of those was the culprit as I didn't want to annoy him with questions.
BUT I am positive that I did not click either reminder button instead of Shipping confirmation, as I edited both Shipping Confirmations then sent from the edit page.

Hello,
Thank you for writing in.Please note we have unchecked the boxes for Automatically send WBN reminder and Automatically send Payment Reminder as per you request.

Thank you, but that wasn't exactly what I meant as they were already unchecked. I never had them set to auto-send.
What I meant was is there a way to make them unavailable to send under any circumstances, since it appears that "wires were being crossed" when i sent the shipping confirmation. I emptied out the field for now, but is there a way to make the links inactive?

I haven't had this happen. A work around, just to make certain your buyers don't get a notice, and if you don't use the automatic notice, would be to edit the email sent to buyers to thank them for their payment, or encourage them to look at your other items. The WBN letter does not HAVE to remind buyers to pay, it can say whatever you want it to say. I've used it in the past to thank buyers for their payment
