In an attempt to get more visits to my post auction check out, I would like to make the following a red color so that it stands out.
"IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE WINNING BIDDER! PLEASE DO NOT SEND PAYMENT BEFORE READING: 1. I will send you an email after the auction closes. 2. Please click on the link in my email. The link will take you to my Online Checkout. 3. At my Checkout, please enter your shipping address and other required information. WINNING BIDDER MUST USE CHECKOUT TO COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION! THANK YOU."
Is there a way to make this red instead of the black print?
Please keep in mind that I am really puter challenged.
I'm guessing Judy is talking about red fonts in the auction, judging by the instructions. The process is almost the same, though.
Judy,
The following will show up as red text in your auction.
<font color="red">IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE WINNING BIDDER! THANK YOU.</font>
The font tag can also change the font size, weight, and more, and even the font itself. learning some HTML is good for your auctions.
Jeff

Oops -- you are right! Sorry, Judy. Yes, you can use Jeff's suggestion in your default text (My Account, Global Preferences) to make this red text appear on all your auctions.

Just a suggestion about requiring use of your link. Much has been posted here about many buyers disliking and refusing to use the checkout link. Personally I disagree with them, but you might ask in a more friendly way such as "I'd really appreciate your use of my checkout link to help expedite the transaction." You would probably get the same results without ticking anyone off. (again, I don't agree with buyers' dislike of the checkout, but the objections do exist.)
