My understanding is that only classic-style WBN's can be sent on AOL--not the Express, right? So that means my greeting letter "should not say" go to bottom of page to put in info. It should say "click link at bottom?

Hi Belalug3,

If you are sending a classic style WBN, then yes, it should say to click the link at the bottom.

If the above is true and you can only use CLASSIC WBNs with AOL...WHY DOESN'T AW INDICATE THIS IN THE SECTION WHEN CHOOSING YOUR PREFERRENCE?

Maybe it's an oversight, but a LOT of people are effected by this, and if you're reading this Sonya or whoever....please pass this important oversight on and have it corrected. btw...anyone else having problems with the POST SALE area in the last 24 hrs? (Slow to load, email addresses not showing, WBN's not being sent....????) ANYONE?

Hello,

Let me try and clear up some of this confusion.

If you are on AOL, you can send your buyers the Express WBN, however if you are set up to get a carbon copy of the WBN (and you are on AOL) - you will get the classic instead, since AOL users cannot view HTML embedded documents via email.

When your buyer is on AOL, it will automatically send the Classic and say to click on the link below.

Other than this thread, is there anywhere where examples of the WBN Classic and WBN Express can be seen side-by-side?

Hello Opus1306

In order to preview a WBN of your active auction
-click on the "active" link on the left hand side
-select any auction from the list by checking the box beside it
-click on the "set wbn" icon
-check the box beside the auction again
-click on the "edit WBN" icon
-scroll towards the bottom of the page and then click on the "preview" icon

You will be able to preview what the WBN looks like based on what type of WBN you have saved in your preferences. I recommend that you do the above steps using Expres WBN

The classic WBN is very simple, it's merely an e-mail informing the user that they have won the auction and it gives them instructions to click on a WBN URL that will take them to the WBN form.

Anna,

Thank you for your reply. However, I would have appreciated it if you addressed my question. I know how to preview MY WBN's. That was not the question. I want to know if there is anywhere on your site where I could see samples, let me repeat that, SAMPLES, not my own, of the Classic as well as the Express WBN. If there isn't, just say so.

Hi Opus1306,

Unfortunately a side by side comparison isn't available. If you experiment with both formats, you will be able to easily determine which format works best for you and your winners.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
