I posted this to your announcement BUT have had NO response.
I am more confused then ever with these new fees.
Since day one of charging, I have been on the Power Plan. My goal is to list 200 auctions a week so I knew this was the best deal for me. NOW, is this plan still in effect for me until MARCH?????
Based on the 200 weekly auctions and the fact that I use Auction Manager mostly, sometimes Auction Manager Pro ( I could give up either one if needed), WHICH plan should I have to cost me the least amount? I do not use any post sales stuff.
Would I pay $29.95 a month plus 1% of FVF and NO listing fee?
It seems like the cost for me is going to be a 4 times what I was paying. That is a BIG INCREASE!
I simply do not understand the new fee chart. Please explain! But I am good to March RIGHT? Do I have to pick a plan now for these prices?
One more thing,
On the Standard Plan it states -
The maximum cost increase any seller will experience is $2.50/month.
In my case that would NOT be true because on the POWER PLAN I do not pay on FVF. So my fees will increase $2.50 PLUS 1% of my FVF, RIGHT? That could be $60 easy on a good month!
If you can tell me the answer to this, it would help me figure out what to do:
A seller list 500 auctions a month, total sales = $5000. What do they owe AW?

Hello,
If you are on the Power Plan, nothing is going to change for you at all until your billing cycle is up. At that time, you will need to decide to downgrade to the Standard plan ($0.10 listing fee for first 50 listings/month - $0.05 for each additional listing/month and a 1% final value fee) or upgrade to the Business Plan (No listing fees, 1.5% Final Value Fee and a $49.95/monthly fee.)
500/$5000 - standard = $27.50 in listing fees, $50 in final value fees. $77.50 for the month. (only includes the use of the Auction Manager and Pro, not the Business application)
500/$5000 - Business = $75 in final value fees. $49.95 in subscription fees. $124.95 for the month. (includes the use of all tools, including the Business application)
Keep in mind that users that want to upgrade now will have lower fees for a period of time. (all of these details on the announcements page.)

YOU WROTE - If you are on the Power Plan, nothing is going to change for you at all until your billing cycle is up. At that time, you will need to decide
SO DOES THAT MEAN I HAVE UNTIL MARCH or until the 6th of the month of October 2001 - I think that is my monthly billing date.
Upon logging into your account, and going to the statement tab - it shows : Power Plan, expires 03/14/2002.
That means, you will have until 03/14/2002 to remain on the Power Plan, when you will then be able to choose to downgrade to Standard or Upgrade to Business.

Discounted Business Plan pricing is only offered to existing AW sellers who upgrade by October 31, 2001. To be considered an existing AW seller, you must be a registered member with a selling plan selected and a credit card on file before October 1, 2001. For power plan subscribers that upgrade, discount pricing will be valid for the duration of their 1-year agreement. For standard plan subscribers that upgrade, discount pricing will be valid through January 31, 2002.
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN ?
I am an existing AW seller. I am registered with you POWER PLAN until 3/02. And I have my CC on file with you. So I you saying I should switch plan from the POWER PLAN to one of these new plans now and pay an ADDITIONAL $29.95 PLUS 1.25% FVF?
That would have to be the stupidest thing to do.
I paid $200 and so far have used 7 months ( $16.67 monthly), .05 listing per auction = $42 per month.
This new way would be a $35.50 increase - NOT
"The maximum cost increase any seller will experience is $2.50/month." as stated.
IF I LEAVE IT LIKE IT IS - I still get everything I paid for when I paid the $200 for the POWER PLAN until March, CORRECT?
This new pricing has almost doubled me expenses to AW. In return for the extra money I might be paying....what do I get? Guaranteed on time launching? Batch refunds that do not have to be done one at a time? Deadlines with dates as opposed to being told it will be done SHORTLY al the time?
What will I gain for paying AW more?
BTW, If I understood the details on the announcement I would have never wasted my time and yours to try to understand what it says in English!

Hello,
As I mentioned, the only reason you would upgrade now to the Business plan from your Power plan would be because you wanted to use the new software available.
Nobody is saying you *should* switch anything, but if you wanted to use the new software you can do so at a lower rate for the duration of your Power Plan, which is as you mentioned 03/02.
If you do not, disregard the whole business plan completely.
"The maximum cost increase any seller will experience is $2.50/month."
This is true, we are not raising the cost of your Power Plan, however the Standard Plan fees have gone up and $2.50 would be the most a Standard Plan user would be paying more than before.
The Business plan is not going to be for everyone. Some Power Plan users are going to see it's value and upgrade, and others are not going to find what they need in it and downgrade to the Standard Plan when their Power Plan expires.

Hi there,
If we downgrade to the standard plan at the end of our current billing cycles... will we be paying image hosting fees?

Hi Angie,
You will only pay image hosting fees if you are an image hosting only customer. If you are launching through Auction Manager or Auction Manager Pro and attaching your images that way, you will not pay the fee.

I wish you would quit saying that we only have to change if we WANT to. I think we are being forced to change to either the standard or the business plan at the end of our power plans year. Correct???? I don't want to pay FVF, but I will be forced to do that when my power plan runs out. My fees are going to be increased over $1000 a year. Why didn't you come out with a power plan and increase the fee for that? The "new" plans you have come out with stink. I love auction watch and the post sale management, it works very well for me. But I will not give you a FVF EVER!!!!! I would pay you an increased listing fee or a increased power plan fee, but you take take your FVF and forget it!!!!
So ultimately, you need to change your wording, because it is not a matter of what we WANT...it is a matter of being forced to do something. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but eventually we WILL have to change plans!!!
