Hi,

I need to know how to put an invisible AuctionWatch counter into an Auction for America listing.

Because these have to be done on eBay's Sell page, it's not an automatic thing like it is with my regular auctions.

I have the html for the counter, or I think I do...

Here's what I copied by right-clicking Properties on the Invisible counter I see in my preferences page:
https://secure.auctionwatch.com/bin/display_strip.x?0

How would I insert this into the text of my auction?

Thanks!

Lucy

Hi Lucy,

Unfortunately eBay does not allow the Auction for America auctions to be edited, so you will be unable to place the counter in the description.

Hi Sonya,

Well, thanks for your post but you didn't answer my question.

I know Auctions for America listings can't be revised or added to, which is why I asked the question in the first place.

If you'll please read my original post, you'll see that what I need to know is how to put the html for the invisible AuctionWatch counter into the TEXT of the listing.

If you can't answer my question, please refer it to someone who can.

Thanks!

Lucy

Hi Lucy,

Go to the Old Counter Page and click to add a counter to an auction.
Label it and scroll to the bottom to select the site from the list. Select the option labeled 'other auction site' from that list, and click on the button marked 'continue.'

That will take you to the page where you can copy the HTML code for your invisable counter.

Hi Christopher,

I just listed an Auction for America auction with the html you gave me inserted as part of the text of the listing.

It worked perfectly!

I just imported the auction into my Auction Manager page and I see two people have already looked at it.

Thank you!

Now that is something I could use, how in the world do you import an auction onto your AW page if it was not listed through auction manager? I have a couple of Auction for America listing I would like to import.

Hi Cococgld,

Go to your Auction Manager and click on the Track Auction tab.

You can import your Auction for America listings. There won't be a counter unless you put it in when you did the listing but you'll be able to see your bids.

When you list more, follow Christopher's directions to put in the counter.

Lucy
