Hello,

We are now using the eBay API for launching all auctions to eBay and are monitoring systems to ensure all services are operational.

Hi bIFFETTE,

AuctionWatch has occasionally had service problems when changes have been made on the eBay web site. To isolate AuctionWatch from problems due to eBay web site changes in the future, we have incorporated the eBay API into our auction launching functionality and will be incorporating the remainder of the API in coming days. We do not expect any disruption in service when we implement other API components and there will be no user interface changes. The API allows us to send and receive data from eBay through a direct interface rather than using their public web site interface. API utilization will increase the stability of our services.

It does not appear to be "stabilizing" anything. We are still experiencing new and even more frustrating problems starting our auctions.

Unfortunately it appears that your rush to implement the API to over come "unannounced" eBay changes causing problems with your service for the past couple days has only created even more problems.

Are you currently working with eBay engineers over the phone to address these new problems that are popping up and keeping our auctions from listing? When will we be able to rely on this system we are paying for to actually start our auctions as scheduled?

Thank you

Hi hdoutlet,

I did reply to the thread where you posted the actual problem I can only assume you are referring to here, see that for more information.

If you are still seeing otherwise, it would be helpful if you could post what it is that you are still seeing on your end. Please do so in the thread you already have going on that issue, if you are.

What does the acronym API stand for? I know, dumb question, but I'm always trying to learn.

Hello,

API stands for Application Program Interface.
