Last night @ 6:20pm est, my auction closed on eBay with the buyer using 'Buy-It-Now'. My buyer has still not been sent a WBN and it is 8:31am cst the following morning! The auction hasn't even registered yet as a 'post sale'. What is going on? Can someone please take care of this quickly or can you please tell me how I can take care of this myself manually? I've had WBN's take awhile to send, but this is toooooo long! eBay auction # 1646913975

debdavis2,

Nobody will be at AW until about 8am PST which would be 11am EST. All you need to do for your BIN WBN is go to auctions currently running and put a check mark in the box next to the auction that got a buy it now. Then click on the AW refresh button (NOT your browser refresh) and this will force it into the auctions ended. If you set it for automatic WBN just go to auctions ended and keep hitting the AW refresh (again Not your browser refresh) and it will send the WBN. You may have to refresh a few times from auctions ended.

Thank you SO much! I appreciate your helpfulness and taking the time to explain the manual way of doing this, I just hadn't learned that yet! It worked and I'm so glad I didn't have to wait another 2-3 hours for a reply. Thanks again.

No problem. Glad I could help. I am also on the east coast. I had just returned from the post office and did my post sale emails and decided to check the message center. The AW site doesn't seem to check the auction sites to update info unless the seller is logged into AW. I believe the way the automated WBN works is that the AW site "knows" when auctions end because of the end time set from the start time and I think it waits until that time to check the auctions to see if they had bidders or not and then to retrieve the winning bidder info and send out the WBN. If a bidder uses Buy it Now and you don't manually tell it to "check" I think it would wait until the end date/time to check and send it out. Kind of a bummer. People are always doing Buy it Now on my auctions at odd times like 2am EST when I'm in bed and then I have my email inbox full of emails when I check the next morning (sometimes more than one per bidder) asking what they owe and how to pay, not realizing what time it is in my time zone and that I'm sleeping. Kinda frustrating.
