We are receiving reports from AOL/CompuServe customers regarding the following issues:

1.) General Server Error messages on uploading/synchronizing with AM Pro.
2.) \"Server Not Found\" or DNS error messages on various parts of our site, including the My Account page.
3.) Uploaded images are not viewable.
4.) Image Not Available banners appearing in place of images.

Please note that to the best of our knowledge, these issues are affecting AOL/CompuServe users only. If you have access to an alternate ISP you should be able to utilize our services without experiencing these problems.

We are in the process of investigating potential solutions from here, but we also suggest that you contact the AOL/CompuServe customer support department in regards to this.

Regards,

Diana

Does this affect WBN's going out to AOL/CS email addresses at all? Most the the WBN's of mine that were not filled out and I have not heard from nor received payment from, have AOL email addresses. Just need to know if I should send them an email or assume they received the WBN and chose to ignore it.

Hello antelope67,

I have noticed that we are receiving a fair number of "bounced" email from AOL addresses, and it is possible that your AOL customers are having trouble accessing our site to fill out the WBN.

You might want to try emailing them directly if you haven't heard from them within the next 12 hours or so.

We have implemented a small change to our system that may lessen impact for AOL/CompuServe customers. Please try synchronizing and/or accessing our site again.

If you are still unable to do so, please let us know.

Diana, you said in a previous post, "I have noticed that we are receiving a fair number of "bounced" email from AOL addresses" and it got me thinking. If I email someone directly from my email and it bounces for some reason, it comes back to my email and I know that they have not received it yet. Usually the message states that I do not have to resend the message because they will keep trying for up to 5 days. When/if it bounces again after that, it states an error message about why it could not be delivered. If the WBN bounces it apparently bounces back to AW even though my email address was placed in the "from" on it so I never know. I've always assumed it arrived at its destination. Shouldn't there be a way for the sellers to know whether a WBN for a particular bidder bounced? The bidders then think we never bothered to contact them when that happens and we think they are ignoring the WBN (because it happens so frequently anyway). Seems to me there should be a way to cut back on all the confusion.

Oops. edited to remove this post. It didn't appear to go through the first time and looked stuck and I pressed the submit button again. Sorry.
