On November 2nd, I sent a message to this center regarding a problem I am having while trying to enter new items into inventory.
Rather than go into the details again, please read the message and reply immediately. I am continuing to have the saem problem. This must be resolved!

Hi Moviestarmarket,
Can you let me know which inventory item has been giving you trouble? Or, can you go through the process of creating a new item for a new folder, save it when you get to the errors, and let me know the names of the folder and item?

Hi Sonya. I click the NEW icon in inventory. I then choose NEW FOLDER tab to folder name and enter there as well. I complete all necessary information on the first page. I then click the ebvay set up icon on the bottom of the page. Once this happens, I get, in red letters, "please fill in the necessary information in the red fields". I had originally done this. The red field is the folder name. The folder name still appears there though. Except that it is faded in color. When I try to retype it, it will not let me. I must go to the NEW Folder field. Change the NEW FOLDER text to any other one there. It then clears the folder name field. I again choose NEW FOLDER, type the FOLDER NAME and again go to the bottom to choose eBay site specifics. The same thing happens. I have also tried saving new item instead, but that does not make a difference.

Hi Moviestarmarket,
I have created a test item in a test folder called TESTING. I am able to click on setup for the Site Information area -- please try clicking the setup link for the test item and let me know if you are able to get to the eBay site specifics. If you can, let me know, as this means that there is something missing from your inventory items which we should be able to correct.

Sonya,
I found the TESTING foler. I went through the same steps and Folder Name (If New) highlighted red again, asking to complete information.
Keep me posted.
Thanks

I accessed Auctionwatch through Internet Explorer. I tried again, with the TESTING folder you entered and it still did the same thing.

Hi Moviestarmarket,
Try clearing your AW cookies -- it could be that you have a corrupted AW cookie that is preventing you from moving forward with setup. Let me know if this works.
Try clicking here first to see if this takes you to your cookie directory.
If so, simply select all and delete the contents of this folder.
If however you have profiles setup on your machine for other users, they may be hiding in another directory. In that case, try simply using your find option in Windows to search your hard drive for cookies. That should show you where they are being stored.

Hi Moviestarmarket,
Here's a simple workaround for your problem:
From the inventory main page, select "manage folders" (on Left Nav, under your folder names), then create a new folder. Select the new folder (again from the Left Nav), by clicking it's name. The page should refresh, and the folder opens, with no items in it.
Now create a new item, and select the destination folder from the folders list. Now you may enter all the desired information, and the item will be created in the (new) desired folder!

Hi Moviestarmarket,
I would also like to recommend consolidation of your inventory folders. It might be easier for you to instead of have folders for each individual item, to arrange them perhaps by letter. This may also help solve the problem, not to mention make navigation in your inventory easier for you.

Thanks for your help. I deleted my cookies and items are entering smoothly into inventory.
I also appreciate your tips for managing my files more productively.
Thanks again!
