Thanks for your quick reply to my query. Unfortunately, I must not have explained my problem adequately. The images are fine on my actual auctions. It is when I am writing up an auction and trying to attach a picture that I get the "AW images are currently unavailable while we perform some routine maintenance. Please try again in a few hours. Thank You." message. This happened several days ago and then cleared up on its own. Today it happened again, I cleared caches and rebooted as I said and the problem remained. Now, when I just came back on after several hours, the images were available again. There must be some explanation for this. Please have your engineers check it out. I have a feeling that it is going to happen again and again until some little bug is fixed.

This problem is related to how AOL caches pages outside of your machine. When you connect/disconnect you could be essentially connecting to another machine that may no longer have that "down for maintenance" page cached anymore and appear as though the error had cleared while another AOL users could be connecting via a different connection/cached page on AOL and still see this messaging.
