Hi Pinewoodcrafts,
Are these auctions the only Dutch auctions that you tried to launch? I am assuming that you meet the minumum requirements to have Dutch auctions on eBay based on your feedback. Have you tried to list Dutch auctions before?

Hello,
Yes they are dutch auctions and yes 28 dutch auctions went through. Just for some reason these 5 did not. My feedback in well over 100. What might the problem be? Thanks

Hi Pinewoodcrafts,
I don't see anything wrong with the auctions that errored out. Because you were able to launch other dutch auctions without aby problems I would try again to launch these. I would also double check your My eBay page to make sure that these items were not launched despite the errors.

Also,
Were all 28 auctions relists, or just the auctions that had errors?

Hi Pinewoodcrafts,
Were these relists originally Dutch auctions, or did you change the quantity when you relisted?

HELLO AGAIN, SEEMS LIKE WE ARE JUST PLAYING TAG WITH NO REAL ANSWERS. TO GO THROUGH IT AGAIN. I HAD 33 AUCTIONS TO RELIST. THEY WERE NOT DUTCH AUCTIONS BEFORE. I WENT IN AND EDITED THEM AND CHANGED QUANITIES ALL TO 10. 28 AUCTIONS LISTED FINE. 5 DID NOT. THE 5 CAME BACK WITH AN ERROR 79. I HAVE WASTED A LOT OF MY TIME TRYING TO RELIST THESE ONLY TO SEE THAT THEY SAY THE RELIST IS A SUCESS BUT THEN MINUTES LATER COME BACK WITH THE ERROR. NO, THEY ARE NOT LISTED IN MY EBAY, NO THEY ARE STILL SITTING IN MY PENDING WITH ERROR MESSAGES. CAN YOU ANSWER WHY?

Hi,
We are still investigating those auctions. Can you try to make a copy of those auctions and seeing if they will launch? Click on the copy link to the right of the auction and launch the copy. Let us know if that works.

Hi Pinewoodcrafts,
It appears that the auctions that received the error were the only ones that did not sell successfully before. If the item sold, then changed quantities and relisted it launched fine. If the item didn't sell, you changed quantities, and then relist, it appears this produces the error. We are looking at if this is how it is suppose to work, or if there is a bug somewhere. I will post when I hear any news.
Thanks for your patience.

Hello pinewoodcrafts,
We believe that your auctions errored because they were actual relists in which you changed the original listing from a single item to a Dutch (the auctions that went through without errors were not actual relists - they were copies of auctions which closed with high bidders.)
Since eBay does not offer a refund for listing fees on the relist of a Dutch auction, we recommend that instead of launching the relists directly, you launch copies instead (once the items are in pending, you can unschedule them, and copy the pending listing.)
We will try to implement something in order to prevent this from occuring in the future.
Sorry for the frustration!
Diana
