Is there a way to store ONLY items that do not sell in the inventory? I notice everthing I list gets added to my inventory file and if an item sells, I don't need nor want it on the list.

Hi Jaymark9,

When you are listing you can make sure you do not have the option checked that saves your item to your inventory. If this is not what you are referring to please let me know!

Sonya...I'm not sure if that would do it? What I would like is: If an item does NOT sell, it gets added to inventory. If it DOES sell, it does not get added. I only need the inventory if I still have the item on hand, right?? The way it appears to work now: you choose to add the item to your inventory and it goes to inventory regardless of whether it sells or not??

Hello,

If you are talking about when you check the box to 'save this item to inventory' - this will always save it to inventory.

It is setup so that if this is an item you plan to list over and over again, you only need to create it once - giving you the option to list the exact same thing from inventory in the future.

Otherwise, if the item does not sell, simply relist it from your closed section.

That's what I thought. Unfortunately practially each item I list is unique, so I use the inventory function is to (re)list items that have disappeared from the 90-day EBay database. The way it is now, my inventory is full of items I no longer have on hand since they sold.

USE FOLDERS FOR SOLD INVENTORY.
Reply to jaymark9 > > > > I move auction items to a folder after they sell, and it holds them there so I may refer to it if I choose, then after a month or so, you can just delete the folder. I name them SOLD-OCT., SOLD-NOV., SOLD-DEC., etc. This keeps the active items list shorter and more manageable, also. Just a tip.
