Hi, just noticed that one of my auctions on ebay is missing images. This is my fault as it is a relist and the images probably ran out. Is it possible to take new photos and cut and paste them into an active auction on ebay? If so can you give me a few hints on how to do it. I have never tried this before. I know I can't do it on my webtv, but I have a laptop that I can use. Thanks, Steve
The best way to correct this error would be to upload those images into your account again using the exact same filename that you used last time.
If that is an option, then they will simply show up in this listing once you upload them - where they were before.
If you cannot upload them with the exact same filename, you can attach them to the listing still and I will include a few options for doing so below.
1. From Auction Manager, click on the "Manage Images" link. Check the box of the image(s) you wish to add under the select column. Click the "Attach Image" button on the bottom of the page, verify your image, and click "Continue". You will then come to a page that contains a box or block of HTML. Copy and paste the entire box of HTML into the description box of the auction revision form.
2. From our legacy Image Hosting service:
To access, click on the Auction Manager tab, then on the "Manage Images" link (this brings you to the new image hosting page.) Next, click the "Click Here" link on the left hand navigation bar (this brings you to the old image hosting page), and select the image(s) you want to attach to your auction. Click the "Attach Image" button at the bottom of the page. On the next page, select the auction site from the drop-down menu, and click the "Existing Auction" radio button. The next page will require you to enter the user ID, password, auction number, or if "Other Auction Site" was selected from the drop-down menu, you will need to copy and paste the HTML code into the auction revision form.
Please feel free to contact us again if you need further assistance.

Hi Christopher, thank you for your quick reply. I still have a problem though. All the instructions you gave as far as I can tell are based upon my still being able to pull up the images. But they have gone beyond the 90 day deletion date and are no longer available on auctionwatch. The only solution I can think of besides just cancelling the auction and relisting from scratch (which is the least desirable option) is to ask you to pull up & put the images on for me. The numbers are 998001189 & 998001265. Is this feasible, please advise. Thanks, Steve
Unfortunately, we do not have access to your images if they were cleared as part of the 90 day deletion policy.
You do not have to end the auction early though. If you have access to those images still on your end, upload them into your account with the exact same filename they had initially and they will appear in your listing.
Otherwise, if you have access to those images but cannot rename them first - use one of the above two steps to attach them to the auction once you upload them into your account.
