I use a Mac in one location, and a PC in another location. When I use my PC to add a new item into inventory, it takes a few seconds for each page to load, for a picture to link, and so on. All in all, it takes a minute or two to list a new item. If I use my mac, pages take as long as 5 minutes to load, it takes 2 or 3 minutes for a picture to link. so on. All in all, it takes up to 15 minutes for an item to be listed into my inventory. I thought it was my computer (an Imac 333) but I went to a friends house and was teaching him to use Auction Manager on his mac, and he was having the same problems. What is going on? Do you not support Mac's?

Hello dejapooh,
The system does not even see or know what type of system you are on, and there is nothing different in the way the actions you mention are completed based on any PC Vs Mac basis.
Speed of these operations is based mostly on the speed of your connection/computer as well as whatever browser software you are using to access these pages.

Then why is it that on similar connections, using similar speed computers, and the same version of Netscape, things are so much faster using a pc?
That is a great question, but unfortunately I do not have the answer for you.
From the example, you could say Macs are slower on our site in your experience, but the facts remain that there is nothing different about the way the two types of machines access the site. It's really just a coincidence that you are finding it to be this way.
The issue of slowness that you find when you are on a Mac will need to be addressed on other ways, there should be no difference unless the Macs are slower machines in general or have more programs running in the background eating up your resources when you are online.

If you are using Netscape 4.0 or above then you will experience slower "perceived" upload because of the way NS on Mac renders web pages. I would suggest switcing to IE5 or 5.1 and you will see a significant speed boost. Beware that AW's system drops the cookie very quickly with non-use on IE5.
Unfortunately AW's Mac support is non-existent. Lack of a Bulk Uploader. Non-secure sign-in etc... much to be desired here.
