Hi,

I just started using inventory and have a question.

When I launch an item it asks for how many to launch of that item, if I put 2 instead of the default of one, will it launch 2 identical auctions ending and starting at the same time or will it simply make it a dutch auction with qty 2 avail.?

Thanks

Darin

Hello,

The quantity to launch option is for doing Dutch auctions, not launching multiple single items.

Let us know if you have any other questions on getting started with inventory.

Interesting.

What will happen if the inventory item had a buy it now on it and I put qty 2 in the qty to launch.

Since you state this will now be a dutch auction, dutch auctions cannot begin if they have a buy it now.

Thanks for any info you can supply on this.

Also, is there anyway to change the number of days in the auction when launching from inventory.

Most of the time I am launching 50+ from inventory usually within an hour time frame so that i dont have everythign ending at the same time, but to avoid ending auctions on certain days, I set them all up as 7 day auctions but I would really like to change the number of days on the fly, when I go and launch.

Is there anyway to do this.

Hi darinoreman,
If your inventory item had a buy now price and you try to launch it as a Dutch auction (i.e. quantity greater then 1), the result would be a launch error. You will have to edit the inventory item before launch and erase the buy now price in order to successfull lunch. Note that you have to meet some venue dependent conditions in order to launch Dutch auctions (for eBay you must have a feedback of 50 or more).
You cannot change the listing duration at launch time for an inventory item.
