Hi, we are leaving the country for two months. about 75% of my images will be automatically deleted during that time frame. I will want to relist a lot of our closed auctions when we return. Is there a method that I can use to bulk update my images (so they will last another 90 days) rather than doing one at a time? Please advise. Thanks, Steve

Hi cyberageart,
Images are refreshed when you click to view them. Images will be deleted if they are not viewed for 90 consecutive days. In order for them to not be deleted, they will need to be viewed individually.

Hi Steve,
There may be a solution: use our (free) offline tool: AMPro. Just download the program and run it. It will automatically create a subdirectory called Images, and this one should contain all your images.
All you have to do is backup the contents of this directory. When back, just upload the pictures from this directory using our online tools, or, synchronize with AMPro, restore the images, and synchronise again (the first synch will delete the images from your computer, the restore from backup will put them back, and the second synch will upload your pictures again).
Carefull about image number and size, as many of our users complain about not being able to upload many large pictures at the same time. Restoring them by 'upload when needed' basis may smoothen the process...

Hi Marius, Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed solution. I went in to clean up my image cache last night. Oddly enough without my doing anything, my images (about 950) have all been updated to "last viewed on Jan 12th 2002". Is it possible someone at Auctionwatch did this for me? I'm thrilled at this development. It saves me a ton of work. I cleaned up the cache and deleted about 300 images of items that sold. You lost me on about the 5th line of your reply when you wrote about backing up the directory. That and everything else after was way beyond my capabilities and I'm sure beyond the capabilities of a Webtv. I do have a laptop also, but am not computer literate enough to attempt all the steps you wrote about. I'm not complaining, just makes me realize how little I know about this wonderful new world of computers I have discovered. I have come a long way though in the three months I have had the laptop. Thanks again, Steve

Hi Steve,
I did not know you are a WebTV user, so I tried to provide an alternative to loosing images. Working with a computer and AMPro is not as complicated as it sounds: just try and when in doubt post a question I will gladly 'drive' you through the process.
All you need is a computer, some basic programs, and be willing to do something new...

Hi again Marius, thanks for your quick reply. If you are willing to work through it with me I'm certainly willing to take the plunge and try to muddle my way through it. As of right now because my images have miraculously updated themselves to Jan 12th I have no need to do anything. We are returning to the USA on April 1, so that gives me 11 days after return to relist closed items with these images. If I ever have the requirement in the future of uploading lots of images I will certainly try your method. Again, thanks so much. Steve P.S. Your reply just now broke a record. That's the fastest response I have ever rec'd from Auctionwatch.
