A few days ago I listed several auctions. All of them launched successfully to ebay. One of them, although on ebay, AW Auction Manager left it sitting in Pending with an error. I was instructed in another thread on how to link the auction back into Active and how to make sure the WBN was set to on. I was told that the only consequence to this was that the counter would not work. However, there is another consequence: you charged me for image hosting because your system interpreted it as an auction launched from outside of ebay when I tracked it back again. This is NOT my fault! The same thing happened on an auction today that I had to track back into AW because it launched to ebay alright but on AW it stayed in pending with an error. I've never had this happen before and now 2 times in just a couple of days! I don't want to have to spend all my time filing for a fee credit that should never have happened in the first place. When I file for a final value fee credit I need proof from my ebay statement. What do I need to show as proof to get my image hosting fee back? I NEVER launch auctions outside of AW so is there any way to put in the AW system to NEVER charge me for image hosting? When this happens it is caused by either glitches or other sellers stealing my images so why should I have to fill out forms? There has got to be a better way to do this. Please help.

Hi antelope67,
We realize that this is frustrating, and that you have no control over some of the image hosting fees that are applied to your account. At this time, however, the only way to request a refund is through our refund request form, available at this URL:
You can generally submit the refund requests relatively quickly by having two windows open, one on the refund form and one on your statement. Just copy/paste the ref ID into the form, and claim unauthorized use of image. We will be able to see that the auction is not yours when we process the refunds.

The thing is, the auction IS mine but when I launched it through AW it got stuck in pending with an error even though the auction successfully made it to ebay. I was instructed on how to get it back into Active. But I was charged an image hosting fee because your system interpreted it as me launching it outside of ebay. All you have to do is look at the auction, it has all the AW template and counters etc which should proove that it was launched properly. The soap opera on this is here
I should not have been charged an image hosting fee for this. The same thing happened on an auction that launched today and probably you'll charge me image hosting on it as well. Darn.

Hi antelope67,
I see what you are saying - note, however, that the image hosting fee is in lieu of the standard listing and final value fees. We understand that you do not prefer image hosting fees, and we are continuing to work with eBay in order to avoid this in the future.

What if those auctions do not get bids? Listing fees, since I am over 50 of them this month, would have been .05 each and no FVF if they do not sell and only .01 if they do (these are auctions that are around $1) so I am gonna get overcharged no matter how ya look at it. I just had 10 auctions end with only 2 getting bids so I'm not anticipating very many of the currently running auctions getting bids. Looks like auction sales are gonna be a repeat of last year. Not very good. Been running auctions since December 1998 and I've never done as badly as I did last year. I think it was a strange year for most sellers but I was hoping things would improve this year. Being nickled and dimed to death doesn't help.

It turns out that this auction has 2 pics in it and now I have been charged .20 in place of a .10 listing fee and no bids on it so it may not even sell. I'm a busy person and can't be filling out all the forms asking for a credit all the time. This is absolutely ridiculous.

This auction just ended without a bid. There is one more auction that had this same thing happen but it is still running and there is "latency" on the billing so I don't know yet whether I will be charged a listing fee for it or a picture hosting fee but I believe it after the 50th listing and should list for .05 rather than .10 and I think it has a bid but won't be ending for a few days.

Hi antelope67,
If you have two browser windows open, one on your statement and one on the refund request form, it is relatively easy to copy/paste the ref IDs into the form. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to issue a refund for these items unless they are sent through our refund processing system.
