the email i got was very broad based and did not explain how the change would affect us and our wbn going out to our customers

then, we would know what needs to be changed and why....

PLEASE EXPLAIN IN DETAIL!

AN announcement before our email would have definitely been niced- what is that saying- ...before the kettle

Hi Stacy,

We emailed all users using the Express format first to give them a heads up on what was going on, before we post an announcement when we get closer to the actual change over. A lot of users may not read the announcements forum, and we wanted to be sure all that were using this format had a advance notice of this change, sorry if you felt we should have posted only to the announcements forum first.

The difference is that when you switch back over to the original (classic) version of the WBN - instead of sending your users a HTML embedded document with your details, you will again be sending mostly an all text document that contains the 'email message' first. Then, they will click on a link to visit a page to provide you with their payment options/shipping information.

When you switch over to the classic version, you will have a email message and a greeting to fill out. The email message is simply that, what you will send in the email message. The greeting will be what the buyer sees when they click on the link to provide you with their shipping/payment information.

i don't like people to use the link anyway (for most of the time it does not work) and i don't use the information on auction watch AT ALL - i want them to send me direct emails

so what i am trying to figure out here is ....for this classic version....
i want them to get : my payment terms, address, payment options, and S&H etc .

where will the s&H that we enter in am pro come thru ?

paragraph one (the box above the welcome message on my account seller preference page) is the only one that i have used in the past (not the welcome message). is this the wbn that they will get a copy of automatically still - with all info and s&h?

so the only difference is is that you don't have HTML in there and the link is on separate page?
sorry but totally confused-

when will we need to make our changes by- i want to make sure my winning bidders get a proper wbn

(why didn't our message just convert over- would be the same from what i am trying to figure out- why would we need to change it?)

thanks for helping here-sure others are confused as well since since classic vs express has always confused many on the boards.

Hello,

so what i am trying to figure out here is ....for this classic version....
i want them to get : my payment terms, address, payment options, and S&H etc .

where will the s&H that we enter in am pro come thru ?

When the buyer clicks on the link within the email, they will be taken to a webpage that looks just like the express version of the WBN looks like. That webpage will have all of the information just like the express version of the WBN did, and where all of the shipping/payment information will be.

paragraph one (the box above the welcome message on my account seller preference page) is the only one that i have used in the past (not the welcome message). is this the wbn that they will get a copy of automatically still - with all info and s&h?

(these directions are for what appears on the classic WBN)

The first box on the post sale page is the emai message, which is simply that - the WBN(email) that is sent out automatically when the auction closes, with the link to click on within.

The second box on the post sale page is the welcome message, which is the message that will appear first at the top of the page when the buyer clicks on the link within the WBN/email. This will be followed by everything that was in the express version of the WBN in terms of how the shipping and payment options are given.

hi again, not sure it i messed them up- i clicked on your link to change to new format and deleted what aw put in as standard wording and put my entire wbn letter in box/paragraph 1

do i need to have the link in box/paragraph 1 or do you add it to each wbn automatically

can you see my wbn from your side and see if i did it correctly?

sorry to be so dumb on this but something is just not clicking somewhere (maybe it is the 200 emails that just ended and the after effects of it)

Hi Stacyp,

The link is added automatically to the WBN. I checked your default messaging, and it looks fine from my end. Let me know if you have any other questions.
