I am on the Standard plan. I launch all my auctions thru Auctionwatch. I just noticed today that I am also getting charged an image fee in addition to my launching and final value fees. As I had read it the standard plan image fees are only charged if the auction is not launch from Auction Manager. Was I charged the image fee in error?

Hi Ewora,

I checked your statement and saw one auction where you got charged an image fee twice on one auction. Did you have to track this auction into your Active Auction list at anytime, or did it always remain there? For this auction (and any others you might be getting charged for), were they relists or new auctions, and if they were relists did you relist directly on eBay?

I have launched all my auctions through auctionwatch. I have only re-listed an auction once through ebay itself but that was months ago. I'm not terribly faithful about checking my account and when I saw the image hosting fee on the current statement I went over to the previous one and saw I had been getting charged the image fee throughout that statement also. All this time I thought if I launched my auctions through auctionwatch I wouldn't get charged the additional image fee. Was this incorrect?

Hi Ewora,

You shouldn't be charged image fees if you attached your images through the create auctin process. You may request a refund through our refund request form, available at this URL:

https://secure.auctionwatch.com/my/acct/request_refund.html

The URL can be found on our site by clicking the "Got questions about this statement?" link on your statement.

We will be handling refunds on a case-by-case basis, so please be as clear and concise in detailing the problem as possible.

After reading this thread, I checked my statements. I am also on the Standard Plan. On Dec. 28, item #1054359204, I was charged .10 for Image hosting and also another two .04 cent charges for the same listing. The .10 could have been the listing fee, but what is the .08 cents for? I never relist thru Ebay, or track auctions. All my listings and relists are done thru Auction Manager. I already tried to request a refund, thru the link you provided, but it doesn't work since the item didn't sell and I relisted it. I am not worried about the .08, I just don't want it to keep happening. Please check on it for me. Thanks

The fees for image hosting for auctions launched outside of AW - whether deliberate or inadvertent - are .10 for the first image and .04 for each additional image in the listing.

I guess this listing had three pictures in it...

It may be possible that someone is linking to your images. If you have no futher need for the image, delete it. Let the "borrower" have a red-x in their listing.

Thanks Kahml for the response. Yes it has 3 pictures. It is currently relisted on Ebay, so I can not delete the image. Besides my pictures are not good enough to steal, and the item is unique. Being on the Standard Plan, these charges don't make sense.

My first thought was someone was stealing an image but then my previous month's statement had about 40 of these fees listed on it. It's an auctionwatch glitch. If you are on the standard plan I would check your statements.

I wasn't to happy about going in an individually having to request refunds on each item. Probobly wasn't worth a half an hour of my time for a total $4.00 refund but hey it's the principle of the thing.

Hello,

If you happen to notice this is happening only on relists, or that this particular example if a relist - keep in mind that you need to relist your items via AuctionWatch.

If you relist your items via eBay, then track them into your Auction Manager - you will be subject to image hosting fees, but no listing or final value fees for that item.

They were not relisted thru ebay. They were launched thru auctionwatch and if they were re-lists they were relisted thru auctionwatch. It is an auctionwatch glitch.

Ditto! I listed this thru Auctionwatch Auction Manager! I have never relisted thru Ebay.

I just wanted everyone to know that Auctionwatch did follow-up on this and my account was credited. Problem is solved. Thanks Auctionwatch.
