I relist from inventory and post sale unsold items page and usually the hits column resets to "0" after relist so I can tell what has been relisted and it would also show in inventory as "at auction". Recently it does not reset to "0" and inventory does not show as "at auction". Am I doing something wrong, did your new relist changes, change things? Also need help in understanding the "copy" function, why and when and where it is available.

Hi Sonya,
When I relisted auctions today it worked, I mean the hits column reset to "0" and eventuall was removed from the unsold items page, but for the past week at least it did not do that. I still have a problem with inventory in that it does not show at auction in my inventory. When I go to inventory to launch items I have numerous duplicated auctions because it had already been relisted but did not show in my inventory. This is a real problem.

Let me get simple about the copy problem. When an item has been listed twice and not sold, I want to copy the auction so ebay recognizes it as a new auction and not a relist. How do I do that? This makes a difference in the fees they charge me.

Hi Dimento,

The inventory problem you are having -- is this for items that originally sold and you are trying to relist, or are they for true relists? Regarding the copy problem, if you relist the same item twice, the second one will be a copy resulting in a new auction.

Hi Sonya,
Thanks for the quick reply. The inventory problem I am having is with true relists. Our sold items are put in a sold folder and eventually deleted.
No I am not talking about relisting the same item twice, when that happens I have to end the duplicate auction. I am talking about making a copy of the auction that has been listed twice and did not sell. If I relist it without copying it ebay will keep charging me a fee everytime it is relisted. Do I have to actually rebuild the auction the third relist so ebay recognizes it as a new auction? I assume that is the purpose of the copy function, to avoid having to rebuild auctions on every third relist. How do I copy?

Hi dimento,

The third time you launch it, it will be a new auction. If you launch that auction and it doesn't sell, you will be elilgible for the credit from eBay on the relist (or fourth listing).

You do not need to maunually select copy. When you relaunch it, it will automatically be a copy.
