Hi, i can't figure out how to find a record of the emails I've sent via AW (eg "payment reminder". It didn't occur to me to keep records separately and now I need to document contacts I've made with non-paying bidders.

Thanks,
SemiKate

Hi SemiKate,

The records of those would be with the item in the closed section. Click on the post sale keys of the item, and you will see if and when the reminder was sent.

I dunno. I sure don't see it. Can you be more specific? Here is what I see when I click on the "keys" in "Closed Items":

...Auction Title: Singer Stocking Darner Small Vintage Sewing
  Item # 1700685883   Site: eBay...

Fulfillment Checklist
...
Winning Bidder Notification (WBN)  2002-02-10
WBN response received  2002-02-11
Payment Received
Postage / Address printed
Item Shipped
Enter Tracking #
Shipment status sent to buyer
Feedback Sent
Shipment Arrived
Feedback Received

As you can see "Payment Reminder Sent" is not among the items. Obviously I am looking in the wrong place!

Thanks.

You might want to do what I do. This is for eBay auctions.

Since I can't really see the usefulness of the post sale blocks 8 and 9: I modified the automatic message that goes out for block 9 to say:
----------------
In checking our eBay files, I have noticed I am still holding and item you won on [date]. It has been over [xxxx days] since this auction closed. The item:

[item id and number]. The final price was $[cost]. Shipping and handling is $[cost] , so your total due is: $[cost]

If you have already sent payment, please let me know how you paid (check, MO, PayPal, etc) and the date you either mailed the funds or completed the PayPal submission so I can check my files. Any other information you have (check number, total amount, etc) would also be helpful. Make sure you used our correct paypal id: [paypal id]

If you have NOT paid yet, please send me a note to let me know if you intend to complete this transaction. If we don't receive payment we will need to consider submission of a non-paying-bidder alert to eBay to eventually recoup our listing fees.

If you need additional information, please email me.

Thanks again,

[our id]
--------------
With the exception of shipping and total cost, the other items are either standard or automaticaly inserted. IF I don't get a response to THIS email, my next step is a Non-Paying Bidder Alert. After sending the NPB, I check block "8". So if I look at my post sale page, and blocks 9 andor 8 and 9 are filled, I file for my final value credit, send a neg or nuetral feedback and delete the item.

works for me...

SemiKate, I think Brian misread your question.

The correct answer is: there is no record in PSM of the >reminders< that you send via AW. Only the e-mail functions that match the PSM keys are tracked.

When I need to send a reminder, I update the Notes section (manually) to indicate what kind I'm sending and on what date.

hope that helps

Thank you Kahml, I think you are absolutely correct. and good idea about the notes field.
I also like the advice from JayMark9 - good solution! I usually don't even bother checking off 8 & 9... so they will be rededicated!

And for the record, I sure never intended that smily face!
