I know that Personal Watercraft has been switched to Ebay Motors which is a disadvantage to me. My question is that there are 776 items in the supposedly expired (#1295) Personal Watercraft Category on Ebay. A lot of them aren't old relists, they are new auctions being launched tonight. When I try to launch to #1295 I get Invalid Category Error.Anybody know the trick to doing this? Thanks.

Hi Dgunderson,
Unfortunately these will need to be listed on eBay Motors directly, as we are not yet configured for listings on eBay Motors. We realize the importance of getting this incorporated with our system as soon as possible, especially with the recent category moves.

Thank you for your prompt response, but I'm still confused. How are other sellers able to still list to the Personal Watercraft Category on Ebay itself when I can't. The Category is still on the Ebay menu category list when you go into Boating and then go over to Personal Watercraft (category 1295). When I did a search of the category there are over 700 items that have been able to list to category 1295 rather than having to go to Ebay Motors as suggested. Any Help would be greatly appeciated. Thanks again.

Hi Dgunderson,
Where are you finding this information? Boating has moved over to eBay Motors. Let me know the URL of the page you are on, also the main category it starts with.

Hi Sonya,
Thanks for your help. To get to Personal watercraft category, Ebay starts with SPORTS(Ebay category #888)-SPORTING GOODS(#382)-BOATING & WATERSPORTS(#1293)-BOATS & WATERCRAFT(#15264)and then finally the category PERSONAL WATERCRAFT(#1295). Here are the numbers of some auctions(there are over 600 items listed in #1295) which are recently listed in this category so it must still be available somehow;1816821452, 1817074726, 1816994551 & 1816942371. Any help you can give me would be great appreciated as my competitors are still able to use this category and I would like to too. It is still available according to the Ebay categories. Thanks again and have a good holiday!! diane g

I don't see a way to directly list in that category at eBay now. However, QA has determined a workaround to launch directly to that category, albeit for a slight additional eBay fee... select the category numerically as your SECOND category. I know this isn't perfect, but if you really want to launch to the 'expired' category, this is a way to do it. We suspect the items you found in those categories currently are relists, or possibly edited items(?).
