Buyers are confused by directions to check tracking of shipment, which is on the email they receive after their package is shipped.
Fulfillment Checklist, item 6 is Shipping Status. I use this to email each buyer that their item was shipped. They are emailing me back saying they have the wrong numbers, and can't use it. It's confusing to them, and I must then explain that they didn't request a Delivery Confirmation, and their package didn't go UPS, so there is no tracking. This makes them feel they are not getting a service they were told they should expect, and this is a very negative communication that could easily be avoided.
Since it's obvious that most sellers use the Post Office, and not necessarily Express or with a DC, please remove this as a standard, and perhaps make it an option that can be clicked if the seller wants such an insertion.
I looked at some of your sold items and noticed that a number appears in the tracking # box that has a date, and some letters. Are you typing this in yourself? It looks like your winners are using Iship to try to track that number, which is incorrect.
Speedy reply....I like that!
Yes, since there is no tracking number because I seldom ship UPS or use DCs,
I simply put in the date I shipped and how, for my own purposes. I had no
idea it was going out to them.
But that's not the point. It should be an option, not automatic, for that
link to go out. Unless it is triggered to go out because I filled in the
box. I can discontinue doing that if it caused it. Please let me know.
If you leave that field blank, then the Iship tracking link will not go out with your notifications. You can use the Preview link in step 6 to see that it won't be going out with the tracked link. It is automatically inserted into the notification when something is typed into that field.

THANKS SO MUCH.....my entering the date & method shipped triggered that link to go on the email. Now that I know, I'll just not do that anymore unless there is an actual tracking number.
