Previous to the the recent changes when I would relist an item it would disappear from my closed auctions once it launched. I relisted 4 auctions last night and they are still in my closed auctions. Do we have to manually archive them now?

Hello,

We have not made any changes to how relists are handled in some time now. If the originals are still in your closed section, they must not have been true relists.

In the availability column, it should have said one of the following :

Relist Auction: You can relist an auction that did not previously sell. Many auction venues will allow you to relist an item once without charging listing fees.

Relist (non-refundable) Auction: You can relist an auction that did not previously sell, even if it was itself a relist. This behaves like a relist, deleting the item that didn't sell from the your closed panel, but the auction venue most likely will charge for it.

Relaunch (Copy) Auction: You can relaunch a new auction by copying information from a previous auction that either sold or is very old and was deleted from the venue. Most auction venues will charge listing fees for relaunched auctions. The auction you are relaunching will be kept in the closed panel.

If you do any of the above actions on an item that was originally launched from inventory, it will be tracked in your inventory and various quantities there will be updated.

Hi Christopher, I'd like to jump into this thread if I may. I was just about to write to say that I just relisted several items and they have disappeared. They are not in pending nor are they still in closed. My relists have always stayed in closed after relisting. I have been manually deleting them for 3 years. It is a pain. I'm glad someone else has written to give me a chance to see whats going on. Is there anyway for you to pull up my relists for today and possibly saving them so I wont have to start whole new auctions from scratch. My first thought was maybe it takes time to switch over to pending. But upon reflection I realized in thae past it has always been instantaneous. Please advise. Thanks, Steve

Christopher, I see what happened. Somehow the few auctions I relisted jumped to active instead of pending. I know I clicked 8 PM. Something goofed. I would have prefered these ended tonight instead of this afternoon but maybe it will work out. It doesn't pay to cancel the auctions and relist again. Anyway I would still like an answer as to why my auctions stay in closed after relisting. This has caused both my wife and I on occasion to double relist closed auctions. Please advise, Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve,

If your auctions stay in closed after relisting them, then chances are they were not counted as a true relist.

Hi Sonya, and what perchance is the difference between a true relist and a not true relist? Does that mean that in 3 years and probably 400-500 relists I have never had a true one? Because they always remain in closed and have to be manually deleted. Could this be the ol infamous webtv tricks. Steve
