Is there a way to post "amount refunded" on the POST SALE function?
EXAMPLE: Customer sends me too much money for an item and I post the actual payment amount customer sent. Everything is calculated and the total due now appears in red with a minus sign (-) as the amount due to the customer. I want to enter the method that I used to refund the customer so the total due reads $0.00; just like when the customer sends the correct amount. Quite often I will include the refund with the item or via PayPal, but no matter how I refund it, I cannot show that on the invoice.
I have tried entering a negative dollar amount in the PAYMENT/CREDIT but SM says it is invalid.
Can you make this minor change to allow us set our records straight and reflect the overpayment return on the invoice if we so choose?
Currently I have to write it on the invoice and that is functional but unprofessional.

I will pass your suggestion along to Product Development for review. Unfortunately there is no way to indicate a refund on the invoice right now -- the method you have been using is the best one in this case at this time.
