Hello,

We have heard from many users who are receiving jscript.dll errors when navigating throughout the site. We have recently found that it is related to third-party download manager/adserver software packages, notably Gator and GoZilla.

For more information on this, please check this article on Microsoft's website:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q253364

We have tested this, and have found that uninstalling the Gator software will stop the errors from occurring. Note that Gator is sometimes packaged with other third-party applications, and may not be visible in the Add/Remove Programs wizard in Windows. In this case, you will need to uninstall the application that is using the Gator software

To find the Add/Remove Programs wizard, click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs.

According to Microsoft's article, Gator has released an update that might help with this problem as well.

Best Regards,

Diana

Diana,
My IE was working fine up until May 15th maybthe 9th when I got the error messages. I have been using gator for 3 years and up until that time never had a problem navigating AW site. Now it is every 5th page or so it has to close. I found if I open another window or 2 in IE I can continue to work but loose the offending window. I do NOT close or click the ok button on the error message window I just move it to bottom of screen out of site. That is strange but sometimes the whole IE will freeze up and need closing due to the jscript error. ALSO the Microsoft site is from April 2000 and does not relate to XP and IE6 which I have. Plus it talks about different error message which I have gotten also but only a couple of times.
Only thing different done to computer on the above dates of May 9th and 15 th when problem started is that Microsoft released 3-4 security updates that downloaded and I let them install around those same dates.... I keep my PC updated and keep on top of virus information and always keep track of new components added and if any change in behavior. Gator released an update to me on the 5th I see in the patch log file. C:\Program Files\Common Files\GMT\autoupdate\gator_2901_3124_dll.exe v3192 starts Sun May 05 13:18:31 2002 If AW wants that file I would be happy to send it to you.
I really like to keep my gator and think something is amiss in the java scripting on AW site??? cause it is happening only on this one site.
