I went to Global Preferences to disable Auto Archive until I get acquainted with the new format. After clicking Save Preferences, Popup read: 'You must enter a PayPal email account in the ID field if you want to save the preference.'
My auctions, listed through Sales Manager, run smoothly, so I wanted to leave preferences status quo with exception to Auto Archive disable. I enabled AA again, thinking I would just deal with it. Clicked Save Preferences again, same Popup, wouldn't let me out until I entered my PayPal email ID. This field is located under 'Customize your post-sale management WBN..etc, etc.' I don't use auto WBN's from eBay, AW or PayPal, preferring to send them personally.
I have an auction ready to launch, clicked eBay Preview and noticed my PayPal email ID is now showing next to my checked PayPal payment option. I won't launch until you can give me some info. I don't want my PayPal email ID on my auction page. Should I erase it in my eBay preview? I don't mind entering it in my AW preferences, but for what purpose? I've been here two years and almost two years with PayPal without that info in preferences. Just reassure me it won't show on my auction page. OK?
Your PayPal ID will not appear in your listings. We had to start requiring a valid email address for the users that were using our post sale tools, as some were not giving the corect ID and it was confusing buyers.
If you do not use the post sale tools, this will never be provided to the buyers/bidders of your auctions. There just needs to be a valid format email address in the box next to PayPal if you are going to check it off as an available option.
