I didn't rush in to use this new feature yet, because I wanted to be sure it works without glitches. After manually emailing all of my auctions last week, I decided there has to be a better method. I'm open to suggestions!
AW users - please post your opinions. I do know there is an error in the Insurance amount option.
Did users respond correctly? Or did they get more confused?

Hello,
I have been using the new calcuated shipping tool since its release and it has been wonderful.
The only trick to it really was weighing both the item to be shipped and what it was going to be shipped in (weight of packing materials, etc.)

I have just started using it, but I think I'm going to like it...a lot!
I first sent myself a test sample and completed the form to see how it actually would work for the customer and it is sooooo simple and time saving. You might do the same.
I took a closed or incompleted auction and changed the buyer to myself and then sent a bogus WBN and then I completed it.

Thanks for the suggestion. What a good idea! Why didn't I think of that! So I sent a WBN to myself & entered a zone 8 zipcode & 5 pounds weight.
I was very impressed with the form. The only problem is that the calculated amount was NOT EVEN close to priority mail. It was short over $3.00.
Has anyone else had problems with this not calculating correctly? Or did I do something wrong?

Did you click on the Calc'd Priority Shipping? There's a fixed one, but you need to click on the calculated one.
Too, before I sent the wbn to myself, I also edited the wbn to show calc'd Priority and put weight in. My final shipping, which calculated itself after I completed the wbn, didn't appear to be wrong.

Hi,
Okay I just did a test but it didn't add in the mark-up I have indicated on my Global preferences. I changed my Global preference this pass Saturday(7/27). I ran the test today on a closed auction that ended 7/23. Would that be the cause of the mark-up not being added on my Wbn Check-out link? Please advise. thanks.

Hi Sonya,
The auction # is 1752562052. The customer never used the check-out link. So I used this one as a test. I edited it by marking Calc'd and the weight, plus like I said I have a mark-up added from my Global preferences. When I had the Wbn sent to myself and use the check-out form the right amount of shipping came up for the weight and zip code entered but the mark-up was not added in.

I believe you already have to have the markup in place prior to launching the auction. I am still checking on this.

Hi,
Just thought I would let you know that I finally used the new WBN with the calculated option with the weight entered. It works GREAT! Thanks. I even had 2 buyers compliment the AW system! Wow!
BTW - I think you do have to have your global preferences set prior to launching. I kept trying to get my insurance preference to show up in my practice WBNs & replies, but they didn't.
