I am a new user to AW. I have several dutch auctions on e bay and need to know how to get the checkout to charge less for multiple items. I have some SH charges at $12 to $13 and any additional items are $5 to $6. I had several end on Sunday and the people that bought multiple items were charged the same for each item being $12 or $13. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Threeoaksales,
You can configure your settings for shipping discounts on multiple wins in Global Preferences, located in your My Account tab. If the items you are referring to are the ones that are combined as an order right now, you can apply a shipping discount to it. If you haven't yet combined them into an order, when you do, you can give the item one shipping price for the order as a whole. Let me know if you need more help with this.

Sonya thanks for the response. The problem I have is not combined items from seperate auctions but multiple items purchased by one person on the same dutch auction. If I use the global setting for a discount say 50% I will need it to only apply to the second, third etc. items, I will need the first item to be the 100% amount. Example, I sell a drill for $5.00 and SH is $13.00 for the first drill and $6.00 for any additional drills. If someone buys two they are still charged $12 for the first drill and $5.00 for the second. If I set the setting at50% then will it leave the first drill at $12? Also I have another auction for a grinder that has SH of $13 for the first and $6.00 for the second etc. Can I customize this auction to the second ect. items will be charged $6.00 sh? If I use the 50% the amount will be different.

Hi Threeoaksales,
You are right about the 50% -- it will apply to the 2nd, 3rd, etc. items added to the order and the first item will be 100% your shipping price. Unfortunately you cant customize the discounts the way you have it laid out in your post -- you'd need to use either a % or a $ discount. In this case, what you could do is not have the WBN go out automatically so when your auctions close, you can combine them, and then set a shipping price for the order as a whole (which will disable the discounts for that order).
