I don't know what you call this. I have noticed auctions where the seller inserts a special picture or logo at the bottom of their auction description or terms. Something that you will come to identify with their auctions. I wanted to do this so I uploaded the picture to AW. I then clicked on properties and did a cut of the url. I went to my Global Preferences and pasted the url in my Default Listing Text Box. When I view a sample auction, the signature picture doesn't appear, just the url. What can I do to get the picture to show up? Thanks much.

Hello,
You need to format the URL with HTML to make the image appear. If you go to the Image Hosting tab and go through the process to attach your image to an existing auction, the form will give you the HTML needed to make your image appear.

I will try to see if I can figure that out. I thought there would be a way of automatically inserting the picture near the bottom of the auction every time. If I have to manually attach the signature picture to the existing auction, it will take too much time. Can I put this in the Default Listing Box under Global Preferences and have the picture show up on each auction?

I don't want the picture to end up in a line with the pictures of the item I am listing. Like I don't want teacup1, teacup2, signature logo. Because the signature logo isn't what I am selling.

I am still doing something wrong because when I click "quick review" at the bottom of my sample auction, there is no picture, just a box with an X. I did a "Refresh" on the sample auction thinking that might do it, but it didn't. This is an exact cut and paste of what I have inserted into my Default Listing Text Box under Global Preferences.

I think you have the wrong address of the pix. I can't find it either. If you get the box with the x, the html is working ok, but there is something wrong with your image address.

Hello kasue,
Image file names are case-sensitive, so the error appears to be that you have a lower-case .jpg extension on the image file name in your HTML. You will need to change the extension to .JPG in order to make it work.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you continue to have trouble with this.

Diana, I changed the jpg to JPG in the address and then refreshed the sample auction page. Still no picture showing there. Just the box with an X.

Hello,
It seems you have been using the page in image hosting, and not the one I mentioned above to get the URL as yours has had either the word 'preview' or 'thumbs' within the title.
I logged into your account, got the URL from the attach image page, and updated your default listing text with the correct URL.
You should see your image appear in your default listing area now.
