I'm just a tiny bit confused. When I create a listing through auction watch, I then owe auction watch a fee. Do I also pay the fees of the web site I have listed my auction in? what about pictures for the listing? When I show pictures in my listings I pay (ie. ebay)the auction site for including the photos in the listing. If I do my pictures through auction watch do I still pay ebay for the pictures in the listing?

Hi Nonniesfun,
When listing auctions thruogh AuctionWatch you pay a listing fee, and image hosting is free (meaning that all the including photos are hosted by AW, and no photo fee neither here nor at eBay). When listing directly at venue (i.e.eBay), you pay for image hosting: either at eBay (if they host your images) or at AW (if we host the images).
Conclusion: you will always pay a listing fee at venue. You will also pay an imagehosting fee at the venue which host your images. If you list through AW you will pay a listing fee but no imagehost fee (the imagehosting fee is included in the AW listing fee!).

OK so if I create a listing , including pictures through auction watch I pay auction watch a listing fee but no picture fee. Now that the listing is created, I go to ebay to list my auction. At that point I owe Ebay a listing fee and a final value fee when the item is sold. Are the pictures I put in my listing when I created it on auction watch going to come up in my ebay listing?? If this is the case then I won't have to pay ebay their fee of $1.00 to include a picture pak consisting of a gallery listing and up to 6 supersize pictures within the listing. The sequence of events would then become: create the listing on auction watch including pictures 2) go to ebay to enter the listing, pictures and all. 3) Ebay fees then owed to ebay should be a listing fee. A final value fee will be added when the item is successfully sold. However the picture pak fee of $1.00 will not be charged, right? Is auction watch easy to use? Any help is always appreciated. Thanks, Nonnie

First thing you have to do is be registered with auction watch. they have different payment plans to use. if u do not list a lot of stuff, pick the cheapest plan. if you list very little, you should really go directly thru ebay and list. auctionwatch cheapest plan i believe is 12.95 per month then additional fees on top of that. ebay is no monthly fee, 30 cents for the auction, first photo is free, then 15 cents per photo after that, and a final value fee. it is really pretty simple.

Hi Nonniesfun,
If you use AuctionWatch the sequence is:
- you upload pictures to AW site (no fees, no limit for the number or size of your images)
- you create a listing for a specific venue, eventually including some of your pictures (no fees)
- you schedule (or launch) the created listing at venue (pay AW launch fee and eBay launch fee. If the listing includes gallery option, then eBay will charge for this as well).
- consult your SalesManager panel: see the listing active, the number of hits and bids you receive
- at auction (hopefully) successfull end you will pay eBay a FVF, and AW will charge you for a FVF and provide for PostSaleManagement (if your plan includes PSM). PSM makes it easier for you to know the exact status of the item: buyer receives notification; he responds and finds the exact shipping; pays for the item; you ship the item; send feedback to buyer; buyer sends you feedback. All the above steps are shown in the PSM for each item.
Regarding the "picture pak" you mentioned, notice that this is an eBay feature, so if you want to use it, you must edit your ad directly at eBay. However, in this case you may use picytures hosted by AW, if you provide at eBay the exact URL to your pictures here. In this case you will pay AW imagehosting fees for every picture you use in the listing, and you will not have the posibility to eficiently use PSM at AW.

I stand corrected. did not know there was a plan that did not have a monthly fee. also, the answer to your question, "is auctionwatch easy to use?" my answer is, i have found none easier, it is also easier than going directly thru ebay. since there is no monthly fee under the standard plan, auction watch would be the best to go with, in my opinion.

Thanks to everyone for your opinions and helpful hints. You have pretty much sold me on the auctionwatch product. I wondered though if any part of the auctionwatch package helps track sales, inventory and expenses? If I'm way off with this capability, does anyone have any suggestions for keeping track of any kind of information needed at year end for tax preparation? Thanks, Nonnie

Definitely stick with AW. I've tried many others and none were as easy, inexpensive and comprehensive. Choose the simple pay-as-you-go option until you build your business up in volume. Then a monthly fee choice may make more sense.
