I am using a pull down menu for shipping costs in my auctions. It is working great except for one problem....When the buyer goes to the checkout page, they cannot add shipping in. Is there a way they can edit the shipping charge? I enter 0.00, since the shipping has to be figured according to zip code. I then give instructions in my WBN for them to find their shipping cost, and to add it to their bid price for their total. This all works very well, but then when they get to checkout, they get frustrated when they cannot edit the shipping from my 0.00. I know I am not the only one using the pull down, so I'm sure there are others having the same problem. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi Horsehelper,

Unfortunately the winner cannot edit shipping. I recommend that you use USPS priority calculated because it will configure the shipping total based on the winner entering their zip code. The automatic calculation of shipping will save these extra steps for you. You can set your USPS priority shipping preferences in Global Preferences of your My Account tab. If you need help with this let us know.

Sonya ~ With my method, there are less steps than with the calculated shipping method. With the AW method, if buyers don't fill out the checkout page, then I have to email them, get their zip code, calculate their shipping, then email them again to give them a total.....and face it, a lot of buyers will not fill out the checkout. Besides, I want my buyers to be able to find their shipping cost BEFORE they bid. I know I won't bid on an item if I don't know what the shipping will be, so why should I expect my bidders to be any different? With my method, there is no need for me to answer emails asking what shipping will be, as it is right there on the listing page. I give all instructions in my WBN. This has already made my workload less. Plus, I have had quite a few compliments on how my system works. The only complaints I have had is regarding the buyer not being able to insert the correct shipping amount. I would like to see AW add the ability of the buyer to insert their shipping cost when they check out. I don't like the calculated method AW is using, and don't plan to change. Sorry, but not everyone will like just one method, and I see no reason we should be forced to use it. thanks....
