Ok, my computer crashed yesterday and I bought a new one last night. I uploaded sales manager to my new computer. It uploaded all my images when I did this. I just tried to upload a new batch and when I synchronized it starting uploading pictures that were already at AW and then starting deleting images from my active auctions!!!!!

Please contact me ASAP.

Is there any way to retrieve the images it deleted????

In case you need the information - my new browser is 6.0.2600.0000 xpclient.010817-1148. As you can see I now have XP.

Can't make money if I can't upload. Can't make money if my pictures are gone!

Hi Gerri,

Unfortunately once images are deleted they cannot be retrieved. If you have them on your computer still you should be able to upload them again. When you first open Pro you should synchronize right away so that your online information and images downloads to the program. Did you do that when you first opened it?

Sonya,

I tried to synchro as you suggested.
It started and then uploaded 2 images that I know are already at AW. Then it stopped as it did before and gave me this message.

Synchro failed. - Bad response from server.
Problem with synchro.
Check images at AW.

I come here and check my images and (except for the ones that were deleted on the previous attempt!)they look OK.

What NOW???

I have a bunch of things I want to list!!!!

Hi Gerri,

Try doing this -- quit SMPro, then open the program again and hit synchronize. This is to get your information online downloaded. Don't try uploading images through Pro yet. Let me know if you get error.

Sonya,

I did as you asked. Same problem. It deleted 1 image (from a closed auction thank goodness) and then uploaded one that is already at AW. In the middle of uploading a second, it stopped and I got the same message as last time.

Don't know if this matters - I now have broadband and it lists the time as 1 hour and 18 minutes. I did have dial-up which used to take me that long. It is possible that when I changed my email with you guys that the program doesn't recognize that I have broadband?

Grasping at straws....

Hi gerri,

Broadband wouldn't be it -- the image that it is halting on -- try deleting it from the image bar in Pro. Then synchronize. Keep doing this until you finish synchronization. Let me know if you are able to get it to fully synchronize.

Sonya,

It is not the same image every time. I do not want to synch again and lose more photos.

I happened to check the other thread for just sales manager and there are a whole bunch of messages posted about this exact same problem. Apparently this is an ongoing problem.

I do not want to risk screwing up the images already posted for now. I only have access to a camera on the weekends right now and can not afford to lose my active auction images.

I somehow feel that if the problem has not been resolved for the others, mine is not going to be resolved today.

You guys didn't resolve my invoice printing problem which I initially reported over a month ago (which is now moot because I have a new browser). I guess this isn't going to get fixed in a hurry either. One of the people on the other thread has already been waiting 9 days!!!! for a resolution. I don't know about you, but I cannot afford to be without the ability to post for 9 days.

I guess I'll have to explore other alternatives at this point. Not happy!!!

Hello Geri,

I am having trouble understanding what you mean when you say that SM Pro uploaded an image that is already at AW - if an image is uploaded that has the same filename, it would not be uploaded as it already exists online. Can you clarify this? Have you changed your image file names at all? Note that image filenames are case-sensitive - this includes the .jpg extension.

Diana,

That's the point! When I check my images at AW, the last photo that the detail list says its uploading when it gets stuck is one that I had already uploaded when I posted an auction. First it randomly deletes one that I have not deleted myself and do not want to be deleted.
Then it begins uploading an image that was previously uploaded and I know it was because its on an active auction!

So, apparently this image was not a problem the first time....

Oh and I forgot to add. After having problems the first time, I went to AW and selected all the images from my closed auctions and deleted them. I was hoping to alleviate the problem by reducing the number of images stored.

Hi Gerri,

The problem that you are having is different. Can you tell me the name of the images that it is halting on?

As I said, it's not the same one every time.

Sonya,

I tried to synchro again. This time it uploaded my new auction images and info, but not before DELETING yet another image from an active auction and uploading a picture already posted.

I tried synchro with a new auction again.
This time all uploaded fine with no deletion occuring.

I will keep an eye on this and review detail list as I upload. Will advise you if this problem reoccurs. (hopefully not!)
