I just launched my first batch of auctions to ebay after several months of inactivity. I selected PAYPAL as a payment option for all of my auctions (along with billpoint and money order), but once the auctions were launched to Ebay, the PAYPAL option didn't exist and I had to manually revise all my auctions in Ebay.
I had this same problem months ago, but chalked it up to Ebay not accepting paypal as an option because of the competition to billpoint. Now that Ebay has acquired paypal, I'm thinking this is not the case.
Am I doing something wrong here, or is this an Auctionwatch bug??
Unless you have the option to 'display payment types accpeted in listings' setup in your preferences, PayPal will not appear when listing via AuctionWatch.
Please visit your My Account tab, then the Global Preferences to turn this option on. Be sure to click the save button at the bottom of the page when finished.

No I'm not referring to that at all. I had the same problem months ago. Again - billpoint and money order are listed as options, but paypal never was when I launched an auction to ebay, and this is without the "insert payment options" setting. Hmmmm.... one to ponder?
The section you are referring to *is* the new option avaialble via eBay directly only, currently. Only since the eBay/PayPal merger has that option become available, and AuctionWatch has yet to annouce plans for support.

Hello Kelly,
Unless we are not on the same page, the 'paypal' you see in the payment types accepted form on eBays details page is unavailable via AuctionWatch and has been so thus far. Are you saying that at some point you were able to list an item to eBay via AW and have PayPal appear in this section?
The location where I told you to change your preference to display your payment options in listings does not apply to that section. It only applies to the item description area. With that option enabled, there will be some text automatically entered showing all of the payment types you accept near the bottom of your description.

Perhaps we are on different planets. Here is my path.
Sales manager
then
create new listing
then
EBAY
At the bottom of the AW listing form there's a section that says PAYMENT TYPES ACCEPTED.
It's HERE where I checked paypal, billpoint, & Money order.
Then I LAUNCHED the auction to Ebay.
Then I REVIEWED the auction on Ebay.
Then I discovered that while BILLPOINT and MONEY order were listed as payment options (in the top section of the ebay listing), PAYPAL was not listed.
This is precisely what I did 6+ months ago.
If checking those options in AW results only in text being added to the bottom of the description, WHY were billpoint and money order selected as options in the Ebay Auction listing on the TOP of the PAGE, and NOT the text???
Money Order and Billpoint are fields that we have mapped to the eBay listing form that will both create the text in the description box and place that information at the top of the listing in eBay's own payment information section.
We have not yet, and do not currently, support PayPal appearing up in the top section of eBay's own payment information area. Not to be confused with the item description area where we will, when the option is enabled, list your accepted payment methods.
