I would appreciate it very much if you could see about making the images on two of my auctions look any better. They are in no way comparable to the images on any of my other auctions and I loaded them in and took the pics the same way so I can't understand why they are so distorted and muddy. The item numbers are: 979199201 and 979263713. If they can't be improved upon..advise me to retake them asap!

THANKS VERY MUCH...
Mallary

Hi Mallary,

If your images appear distorted when uploaded to our website, try clearing the cache and history in your browser. Next, go to your AOL "WWW" Preferences. You should see an option to "compress graphics". Disable this option, then close out of Preferences. Refresh your page, and your images should clear up.

Regards,

Sonya

I appreciate your response...but that is definitely not the problem. I clear my cache, etc. nightly.

I have checked these auctions on two other and different computers. Most of my auctions pics look alright (I know internet photography is not my best talent)...but these two that I have mentioned look ATROCIOUS and are two of my most important auctions up! Please help.

Thanks...
Mallary

Hi Mallary,

Your images do not appear distorted when viewed from here -- it sounds like you have a compressed image setting activated on your browser. What browser are you using to view them on? What version is it? The problem you described typically happens with AOL.

Hmmm...I could see that making sense ("compressed image setting activated on your browser...typical of AOL, etc" ~ but wouldn't that make all of my other auction pics look distorted too? Some are just fine and I am not changing my settings as I view each one.

Thanks again...I am appreciating your time but hope you are not just giving me canned responses for problems/solutions on my end and not looking at AuctionWatch engineering that could've had a problem when they loaded these particular pics.

Hi Mallary,

We do not alter images when they are being uploaded -- they upload exactly as they are on your computer. I have viewed your auctions on two different browsers and the images are not coming up distorted on either one. Did you check your compression settings?

Regards,

Sonya
